I'm willing to BET you would love these icons on your iPhone....of course you wouldnt admit, but these look by far better that iPhone stock images.

sure but most of those icons are pointing to MS applications..

IE Word, Excel, MS Pocket streets

but i agree, the OSX desktop on the iphone would be sweet, im not sure you can completly change it to that though.

BTW if you have the tools you can extract icons from the resource exe file here

Yikes - those are awful. While they the black and silver look nice and they are obviously well done they break basic design rules - like making icons noticeable at a glance. The icons all have the same background making them difficult to discern at a glance - something thats very important on a phone.

I can tell you never had an PPC device, or an portable device of that nature.... People dont depend on the look of an icon, but better yet familarize themselves as too where the icon is located. And thats on any phone regardless touch screen or not, if your using an scroll wheel, you dont depend on the icon style or look to know where your at, you depend on the number of times you scroll up or down to get where you want to be. And where did you get this info that its a principle of an icon for an phone to have basic design rules? Are we creating rules on our own now?
Oh, and how could they be "AWFUL" but then be "NICE AND OBVIOUSLY WELL DONE?"

Tell me this is not SeXxY

Please Tell me.....I dare you! LOL

To answer your question things can be done extremely well but used in the wrong way.

I did not know I needed to qualify my opinons for them to be valid - however after 8 years of design school at a university and 10 years in the feild I feel my statement is valid. Sorry if you disagree - and yes that is a basic design rule.

How did you change the wallpaper of the home screen?

How do you put the AT&T logo instead of text?? :-S

EDIT: Nevermind, I got it! :) I got the AT&T thing. I can't figure out the wallpaper for the home screen. :(

Apple needs to realize this is going to happen wether they want it to or not. If they aid developers making third party applications, those applications will be safer and better quality.

I like the second attached image btw, looks nice.

BTW: I HATE  the regular smile icon ":)" AHHHHH *sorry* :p

has anyone tried animated Gifs? do they work as your icons? or is it static PNG images only?

SiLeNtKiLLa...I love yours. Please do a tutorial on how to do it. I LOVE your icons.

http://www.everythingiphone.com/forum/iphone-modifications/how-to-add-custom-ringtones-by-wjp09-with-pictures-and-videos-5521.html This thread is a nice tutorial. Actually, once you get to the step where you create the Library/Ringtones directory, you can use the Drag & Drop program Manzana. Search the Modifications forums there for Manzana or Drag and Drop and you'll find out how to use that one, it's so easy.

Drag & Drop App Manzana here http://code.google.com/p/manzana/ ....and yes its easy to use....
