PDFs are rendering correctly for me too now. Thanks to those who spent their time dealing with Apple support and going through all the motions.
Yes, thanks again to the members who responded, tested etc. Thanks especially to Iñaki777 who logged the bug and dealt with Apple! Am also happy that Apple responded and fixed the bug in the next release.

Yes, confirmed. They call me when the new update was released and after its installation the problem disappeared. Thank you for your help.

Great that it's resolved, just a shame not all encounters with customer support were quite so informative.
