The following is a cleaned up email conversation with a rather bitter fellow who has high hopes and can't stand being asked a simple question without going into a fit of rage. I found it funny myself

End of this madness... People take their product of choice and take things way too seriously, defending their purchase decision or just blind hate over an object that doesn't even breathe oxygen. Got to love Craigslist for laughs like these for sure.

regardless of what u think my age is, its sad a negative opinion gets viewed as childish. i dont think highly of apple. theyre good enough for my 9 and 4yo and wife who likes to just play dragonvale. but it sucks for what i want as a whole and avoid the damn thing as much as possible unless im on the ******* and my Transformer Prime is busy getting charged. i only fwlt to tell you them as you wanted to trade with something NOT in the craigslist description. I didnt ask for a 4S. quit ur bitching, u asked for it.

No, really. Tell me how you feel. You seem really insecure about brands and the devices they make regardless of who made what when and where. Your S3 is made in China. How do I know? I had one.

I've stopped using Android phones after my Galaxy S3 toasted a 32GB memory card I had in it. I reset the phone and sold it cheap out of anger from losing all the data I had stored on the memory card.

Thankfully the memory card has a lifetime warranty while the phone and OS didn't. I had the blue/grey look S3 on the same carrier which I've been with over a decade.

I find it funny that you like to put words in my mouth saying the S3 is a lesser product... In some ways it is compared to the Galaxy S4, HTC One, BlackBerry Z10 and many other newer phones on the market.

Honestly I don't care what you think of Apple but if it wasn't for the iPhone itself, many devices today would still look like classic BlackBerry and Nokia N Series phones. So time to enjoy a little humble pie and choke on it.

nope. I'm 40 and unlike Apple, im trading for an upgrade. Not that iphone faithful would know what a real upgrade is. When they decide to upgrade it's a couple 100 dollars for a bigger camera. The screens the same the OS is the same and the only thing that's different is a camera? Cmon, son.... hell, you guys just got into the 4G business what about 4months ago?

I decided to poke a little fun, sure but I don't worship a single platform at all. Heck I was still using my old BlackBerry well into 2011 and my antique kept working just fine.

I had to buy something to replace it after it fell on it's face and RIM had a bad habit of placing the LCD so close to the face of the phone. Even working the volume rocker would cause some flex.

What this gentleman said. Then again, I've had times when I've seen myself put up a bit of a stink, so I'm no real advice giver. Still, it's good to remember what's important in this world. A phone is not.

I agree, I don't go around with the latest tech just to be with the "in crowd" nor do I care what other device someone chooses to use. For many years even when I joined this site, I used a old school BlackBerry and got tons of laughs from others. I didn't care, it did everything I needed.

Even when RIM was about to tank, I still used it and possibly would be now but the model I had is no longer sold or even remembered by many.

So I tried a few different phones until I could find one I was comfortable with. Tried Windows Phone 7, had a hard time navigating screens on the Nokia model, I then bought the Galaxy S3 and really liked it save for two problems. The screen was rather sensitive for typing but, I loved a lot of the other features and was the best Android phone I used for battery life and music playback with the fully adjustable equalizer and further sound enhancements, the camera, amazing with real time effects.

One average day I picked it up and saw a icon on the notifications bar. Some odd issue with my memory card and hoped the utility on the phone or my Mac could repair it no luck anywhere. Tried it in a few other phones, and other devices via an adapter. Nothing would recognize it. It was the third Samsung Android I owned that also had the same or similar issues.

The first Sammy Android, the Behold II was notorious for this problem six months after I bought the new phone after it trashing two memory cards by random un-mounting and then re-mounting the memory cards and losing my data, I had enough of that phone and T-Mobile after much discussion and three replacements, was the day I decided to get the BlackBerry 9700.

A few years later, the Galaxy S II was getting rave reviews and being long overdue for an upgrade, I bagged one and loved the large display and amazing camera. Typing took a long while to get used to but all was well until the ICS update. It seemed to be fine but an odd issue with only the T-Mobile model which I bought a 16gig class 10 microSD card. I was getting phantom duplicates off all of my media files. Pictures, music, videos....

Had to go to the Android system and delete the media cache but almost daily. No luck with support and so it was sold as I got tired of jumping through hoops just to make the most of the phone. Back to the BlackBerry I went which over the years, never gave me a single technical issue.

The last straw was when I was forced to buy a new phone over tripping and cracking the LCD. Replacing it was way over my head so I bought a used HTC Sensation and really liked that phone aside from the battery life. Great design but the unibody design meant no larger battery option.

Finally I fell for the new S3 which looked amazing and my contract was just due for an upgrade, I was jazzed and the wife got a HTC One S while I upgraded to the Galaxy S3. I had the S3 for six months and used it until it wiped out and destroyed my new 32GB memory card for it...

Everything was gone and was beside myself after getting burned so many times I sold the S3 sans memory card and the Nokia 710 series but then I thought, "Why not use a unlocked iPhone?" Since I already have a Mac and plenty invested in iOS apps and such.

So I took the gamble and haven't had a single issue aside from being stuck on EDGE. I know now that there are areas of HSPA+ support for high speed data but now with the iPhone 5 finally coming to T-Mobile with 4G and new LTE bands. Hopefully on day one, the 5 performs just as fast as my S3 did or better.

I know the 5S is right around the corner so I'm hoping that's the model we get. Still, I have an old Android phone around in case of emergency. Not the best looking phone, but my contacts are still there.

With the S3, I've never had any SD problems with stock TW. I use a Sandisk class-10 64gb card.

Custom Roms is a differ story. I ran into several popular custom roms that corrupted my card instantly. Data not recoverable and format needed. This is why I back up my card before I try out any rom, just incase.

I've always used FAT format.

Instead, for some reason you saw that as a challenge. It would seem you have just as much emotional attachment to your phone as he does, if not more.

I just don't understand people. Just use Android out of the box and it still does a lot of stuff easier than an Iphone. Android performs more like a PC. Iphone on the other hand you need workarounds for even the most basic and menial operations (like attaching files to email, copying data into and out of phones, sharing information, playing various media formats, etc). There are so many roadblocks using ios/iphone but some just blindly close their eyes to them.

It's kinda funny, but I had a phone conversation like the one above happen to me today with an old friend of mine.

He got a Motorola Atrix HD, and the battery on the thing lasts about a couple of hours or so. I told him he could fix it by rooting it to a stock Android build, which, of course, he doesn't want go through the trouble of doing. So I says...

"This is why you read reviews on stuff, man. Do your research. The Atrix is a middling phone at best. There are better out there".

"Yeah? I did my research and thought it was the best phone for me. You know what? It is. You ask me, your iPhone is a piece of crap. I wouldn't ever want to get one of those. Why do you think your choice is better than mine"?

"...wuh? This suddenly went from casual conversation to defensive accusations real quick like. SUP, HIGH STRUNG SALLY? HOW THE NERVOUS TICKS GOING? STILL DOING THAT JITTERY THING WITH YOUR LIP WHEN YOU GET ALL AGITATED (I actually said this)"?
