I can't speak for the OP but they are in fact polished (shiny) on the sides where its a rounded surface which matches the SS of the AW. The top (flat area) appears to be brushed. I re-read his post and that is what he stated too.

Hey Frogstir, any chance I can see what the watch band looks like on the clasp side? Thanks.

Sorry Mac2me, didn't see this earlier. Here are some different angles. Let me know if this is what you were looking for.

My adapters from Utica guy as I've seen him called (freedomoclock) arrived early by first class mail. My bands arrived today and I really like them; photo below (prices were less than on packaging BTW). She sent spring pins along as well and I may end up needing them.

The new adapter lugs on the spring pin version fit nice and securely in my watch base. I attempted to put one of the bands on but my close up vision is bad and ended up sending one of the springs across the room. Not sure if it will ever be found LOL. He sent 3 so I'm down to 2 from him. Made a few more attempts but decided to wait for DH, who has great close up vision, to install them tomorrow when it's light outside. I'll post closeup of them on my watch once I get the band on so you guys have another point of reference. I have not opened the tubular adapter yet from this seller as I still need to pick up some appropriate threadlocker. I have a feeling I will be buying adapters and pretty much installing them on my bands and not bothering to switch the bands off the adapters once they are on.

BTW if anyone in Europe is interested in the band that Frogstir and I bought I found it here on this site: http://www.watch-band-center.com/watchstrap-p18036h689s711-Watch-strap-24mm-sta.html

Still need to resize the Hadley-Roma rice grain link band I got Friday, but the lugs with spring pins from freedomoclock09 look good on the watch and were a good choice for this band. Hubby got the first one on in literally less than 10 seconds. Took him a bit longer on the second.

Thought I'd post my photos of the band on. Really like this band a lot and it's a nice polished stainless and has some weight but still feels good. The inside of the band is very smooth and actually feels wonderful on the wrist when you move the watch around. Clasp is easy to use and since you need to push both sides of the clasp at once to open it, I feel it won't be accidentally coming open and falling off. As a woman I wanted something in a link that wasn't so chunky and the raised beads hitting into everything. My hand with band lays flat on table surface. So happy with both the adapters and the band.

Does anyone else sell the spring bar adapters? Anyone found the direct source from China? Hoping to get a gold pair soon but haven't had any luck finding any or getting a response from the "Utica" seller.

Since this thread is for adapters from this seller (mostly because people who have ordered from him have had good success with the fit and customer service), I'll add the link to the main general adapter thread here:
https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/apple-watch-adapter-only-thread.1890701/ There is also a thread I saw for black/SG too I believe (I'm SS so don't really bother reading that one). I haven't seen Utica offer any other color than a silver so far.

I will mention that I recently placed a second order with Utica guy for an additional 5 adapters and he promptly gets them in the mail to you. Mine went out same day.

mrjoeyjiffy posted some great closeups of the spring pin adapters including those installed on a watch on Page 1. I noticed, however, there weren't any photos I saw of freedomoclock09's Classic adapters. Here's a photo of each type that I took for some different perspectives.

Classic style (side ends plus outside length polished, as well as 2-pc tube connector):

By the time I buy all the adapters I need for the bands I'm buying I think I'm going to have a whole lot of pentalobe screw drivers and spring bar tools! The extra spring pins and pentalobe screws will come in handy over time.

Anybody else get lugs that wiggle inside the watch case? Love these lugs, but they don't fit flush inside the watch. Sending the seller a message now.

Let me know, thanks

My Apple Classic band is pretty firmly set in the channel so when I tug or try rocking the band by the strap side to side at the adapter area it doesn't move a discernible amount at all. There is more play with my white Apple Sport band however. I do see some slight movement with the bands on my spring adapters from Utica guy (haven't mounted anything to the Classic adapters from him yet).

I think the movement is because the middle button is higher than the rest so can "rock" or pivot a bit in the channel if tugged from one of the ends. As I said I don't see much movement and certainly wouldn't describe as loose in there. It's locked in tight and won't pull out. It fits in the channel and doubt it can be pulled out, nor do I want to try. Nor could you yank the band out the channel if pulled straight towards the band. Sure of that because of the way the channel was designed and the adapters made. For the most part I would say when installed the adapter ends line up with the watch case too and don't protrude where it looks out of place.

I suppose any movement could have been eliminated by designing 3 raised buttons across the top that kind of lock in but then that would have been more difficult when trying to remove the band and more to go wrong (like popped button not eased in when sliding). I think this works pretty well as designed and don't think I would have made any changes. Probably no extra room in the case anyway for extra button releases. There's no way the band/adapter is coming out under normal usage.

Do you have a video you can put up and link to showing what you are experiencing? We'd be better able to comment on whether it's what we see or not.

While I haven't actually installed any bands on the Classic adapter (need DH to put the threadlocker on those super tiny screws first), I did partially slide one of the adapters on last night and it seemed a bit tighter in the channel, so might fit tighter like my Apple Classic band. I suspect it might be because of the plating on the visible length of the adapter adding some additional thickness but really not sure. Didn't want to get it stuck in the channel and have trouble getting out since there was no tube or band to pull on at that point. DH is traveling until next week so I'm stuck with a few bands I'm dying to put on this adapter until he gets home. I'll be happy to post photos of this adapter then if no one does before then.
