whoa....

ive been busy at a shoot so wasnt able to read all these in time so i skimmed thru most of it.

i appreciate everyones info and input helping me out, thats y i posted in macrumors bc i know how everyone is about helping each other out (mostly).

i did try to call my phone that night and sent numerous texts to myself about returning it to me, but it was all ignored and sent straight to voicemail.

i will however talk to some cop buddys of mine and see what theyre input is and what i can do legally. once i get a full understanding of the situation, if im harassing or not, then ill know what to write in the email.

by all means did i not mean for this to be a witch hunt, but from the circumstances of her/him taking a pic from MY iphone and sending it from MY email address (of course the pw was changed) to that stoopid ass email, im leaning more towards him/her being a dishonest person by not trying to return the phone.

ill update this asap bc it still is kind of a soap opera ahhah

thanks all!!!

so someone just stole my KID... but I should be careful not to put their face or info all over the web???? because I might get in trouble??

WE DON'T KNOW WHO STOLE HIS PHONE.

Is that clear now? I don't know why you want to put "their face" everywhere when we don't know who stole the phone.

Whose face??

This is the Thread of the Day! Very entertaining thus far! I love how once the email address was posted people started posting everything that they could find about "the email address assailant."

The tweet update was fantastic!!!!! rofl:D

Just be glad we're not 4chan or her house would already be in flames at this point.

*Hops over to 4chan...

haha as much as i love 4chans retardedness, let us not get to that level yet until after ive sent a civil email explaining the situation of me having her info and talking to the fuzz

if all else fails, then we can take it to the next level

thanx!!!!

The person presumed to have the OP's iPhone posted this in her Twitter:
"Whoever out there thinks I have your iPhone, I DON'T! Please contact me directly instead of spreading my personal info over the internet..."

Why does the OP think that she has his iPhone? Because she was sent an email from his mail account in the iPhone? Sounds a little thin.

<snip>
Say something along the lines of telling the police that you've found it and they can call off their search! (not quite in those words :p)
<snip>
Good luck.

Literally LOL.

OP: "Police?, yeah, cancel that APB for my iPhone, you call all the patrols back and tell the SWAT team to stand down..." WAHAHAHAHAHAH

damn......

ok guys, thanks for everything. im going to send her an email trying to sort out the whole thing so please no more twitter or facebook harassments until i can get in contact with her.

ill update shortly

Hahaha, wow! That's funny. It doesn't matter if she has the iPhone or now. The OP didn't say she stole it. That conclusion was drawn from other people.

He only knows that whoever DOES have the iPhone sent her emails with it. She could help find out who it is because chances are she knows who took the photos and sent them to her.

It does suck to have this info posted all over the internet so if a Mod can edit that stuff out or the posters edit it out, that'd be awesome. I'm sure he OP appreciates the advice but lets not get too crazy here. :D

What do you think the odds are, a lawyer-type read that tweet? And has/is/will contact this victim to talk about things like "harassment" and "identity theft"?

There was a right way to do this. There was a wrong way as well.

OP, in the interest of educating the rest of us, please let us know how this all works out. I fear this opera is still in Act I Scene I.

Good job, OP.

I should have known he was a shady character, he spells "because," "bc". Apparently he's too busy messing with people to write "_e_ause."

I've been in contact with a lawyer about a similar issue. Without spreading any false information there is little that can be done.

In my case someone posted my name, my university, my home and school addresses, my email and other information.

Cyberstalking generally consists of more than one attempt to make contact with the victim over the internet. Considering the OP wasn't even doing that at this point but mearly posting the email with hope to reach the person who may have info on his phone, I think he OP is relatively safe.

Although, as I suggested, I would remove all references ASAP so this woman doesn't have to deal with any more trouble from people on the internet and the OP can discuss the issue directly.

This is why you shouldn't have posted her information. The only behaviour you can control is your own. You can't stop people from attacking her if they don't want to (especially if they feel they are right).

thanks alot

Well, I have to agree with the person that said this:

This person is correct. I do not have the phone. One of the employees at my place of work has the phone and sent me photos from it. I had no idea that the phone was not his (how would I?).

I am inclined to help you, because unlike what people are saying about me here, I am an honest person. I would like you to contact me directly (as noted). You have my facebook, twitter and work email address. Heck, everyone does.. I have gotten numerous emails from strangers!

Anyway, I would also appreciate if the mods could eliminate this thread.

ahhaha I come back and this thread is A L I V E.
Nice. That poor girl.
She's gonna get hax0red!@T@UY@ zomg!
Eh really though just send her an email, just tell her to get you back the phone. Pronto, if she could.
