Oohhh the 32GB 8" tablet is £379 in the UK, hmm think I'll take the 16GB and hope you can transfer the files across.

You can pre-order in the UK from Sony's website now, if you want.

Expected delivery 25 to 29 of sept. Cant wait for some reviews. Wonder how it stacks up to the nvidia shield? No cellular on this tab btw.

Yes no cellular on the current models, but they will have one, dread to think of it's price! And yeah, whilst the graphics of Android games enhanced for the Shield will leave the Sony tablet in the dust, games like Half Life 2 etc..

The ability to have full PS4 remote play will be a good challenge to the Shields PC remote play.

Here in the usa it looks like we wont be getting the 32gb version. It does say coming soon so maybe there will be more options when it hits stateside.

Also got love the inconsistencies with the tech specs in the overview tab it says 260g but in features and specs it is 280g.

Seemed like an obvious answer but I had to ask my dumb question as most seem to be want the compact version versus the normal. :)

Especially as the only thing that is different is the screen and overall size, everything else is the same.

Been reading more about the tablet, it looks great and every single person has said it's really light, will be great to use for PS4 remote play. You can also buy the charging dock now so you don't need to remove those waterproof covers for charging.

the resolution on the samsung tab 8.4 is better with higher ppi. Also does have a slightly bigger display with a a few mm shorter and several mills wider.

I have always liked the Sony Z line. I might just get the Z3

Release date is farther down the pike. Some of us will have many new phones before that comes out and maybe because of that this one will slip off the radar.

That Z3 seems very nice and they have reduced the bezels a lot from previous builds.

I am intrigued but honestly I have never seen anyone here in the states with a SONY phone so they must be hard to get or exclusive to only some carriers.
SONY smartphones is quite common in the continent where I live, but I do believe SONY should really start establishing themselves again in US with their smartphones. Not just be known for PlayStation or Spider-man movies. They get tied up with second rate carriers and even when they do release them there, people are still buying Apple and Samsung in droves. SONY has very little smartphone presence in North America even they had a joint venture with Ericsson. Even HTC and Motorola is beating Sony in the US. It basically is import or bust.

I think that Remote Play feature is plain awesome. PS4 is what really got the ball rolling again for Sony in the US. That feature should strengthen their ecosystem and keep PS4's owners brand loyal to Sony. Hardware exclusive is really what keeps certain brands standout from a crowded field. Dilemmas become harder to figure out since nearly every flagship that gets announced are generally excellent. Even midrange devices are good enough for most people.

Hmmm.... well looking at these videos it seems the iPhone 5S has the better video camera then the Xperia Z3 Compact, and the 6 Plus has the better camera again! Damn why did Apple only put OIS in the 6 Plus..

On a side note I've sold my Nexus 7 now, ready to get me that lovely Sony Xperia Tablet Compact... I think in white?

Sony's done a really nice job with this series. Everything looks awesome: strong battery life, nice design, and good camera. I just wished this came with stock Android. I really hope they keep continuing the Z3 compact because that's the phone I'd get if I left iOS.

Also, that new Smartband looks really sleek.

Looking at specs, the Z3 is really my dream phone. I just wish it's easier to get it without importing to the US...
