The Californian names don't mean anything to me, I'm always going to associate 10.12 with this...

Don't care what Apple calls the OS, I just want it to work on release, not take best part of a year to fix or ignore issues.

I am not installing macOS 12 till 12.3 around March. Then I will cruise that for a year till the next March. I am on a March to March cycle. You just can't really install in Sept/Oct anymore, unless you don't care about weird things happening. Stable is much better for me and around 0.3 has been really great. I am still going a year to year, but not Sept to Sept... People have said this all the time, but with work on my Macs, can't do it...some people are still on 10.8.x because of Quicktime...

All our Mac`s are a complete OS cycle behind (10.10.5), just running out of faith with Apple and the desktop OS. Completely rely on systems for work & business purpose, so flaky OS releases combined with being locked into the same on new harware, is just getting to be too much of a risk.

Apple should revert to a more realistic cycle for the desktop OS, not 12 months as it`s very clearly not within Apple`s ability to deliver a solid product under the current regime. This and other factors is driving the switch to Windows based systems. Apple`s focus is IOS and IOS devices, so in some respects it`s difficult to support a company where our needs are placed secondary to many other aspects of Apple`s revenue stream.
