I got some adapters on Amazon and they are ok but I don't like the gap with this band. I'm looking forward for my click adapters when they get made. The band is a Timex band that I also bought on Amazon. I really like the look of the band and it is very sleek but it is pretty skinny. I have small wrists and I barley pull it off. It's a bit small for my 42mm it might be better for the 38mm watch.
Overall I am really pleased. I think I might order a Casio calculator watch and try the band from that, I think it's a little wider with the same look.

Anyone find any 38mm leather bands similar to what Apple has? Really dig those, but only available in 42mm.

Strappedfortime.com has some great looking bands and they aren't too expensive. Once I get some adapters, I'll definitely be buying some leather bands from this site

Is the 38mm SG Sport the most non-versatile watch in Apple's lineup?

So i ordered a 38mm Space Grey Sport and I sort of regret my purchase already, for the lack of possible band combinations.

I mean really, what other bands actually work with this model? I'd like to have another more "dressier" band apart from the black sports band, but I just can't think of a possible option.

- All of the sports bands are definitely out of the question, since I don't consider them dressy enough

- Milanaise Loop certainly doesn't look good on a aluminum watch because of the SS connectors and, well, the band itself - it's clearly made for a SS watch

- Classic: I'd love to buy a classic band, but again the SS connector pieces and the SS clasp sort of don't match the finish of the watch. I know some people would say this is tolerable, but to me it's definitely a no-go.

- Leather loop: this is the one that I think would go very well with the SG Sports watch because it doesn't have any connector pieces and thus goes with ever finish. The black loop and the blue loop both look amazing on the watch, as we've seen in this thread. However, it is not available for the 38mm watch! This is the biggest letdown for me. I simply can't order a bigger watch since my wrists are tiny, but it sucks that I sort of get punished for this.

- Modern buckle: same thing as with the classic buckle, all the SS elements would make it an odd choice for an aluminum watch

So I'm not complaining, I know I bought the cheapo model and chose a color that's somewhat incompatible with a lot of straps. And I didn't expect all of Apple's bands to look great on my watch. However, I'm extremely sad that people with thin wrists are deprived of the only sensible band choice for this particular watch, the leather loop. Here's to hoping that either Apple or a third party brand come up with nice 38mm Sports watch compatible leather bands. It doesn't necessarily have to a leather loop; a classic band with non-SS connector pieces would be fine as well.
I am in the same boat. Have you had any luck with third party bands? Good luck with the search!

Found this very nice Grey SS link bracelet from Fossil. I called their office up and bought just the strap for US$35. It fits the 42mm Space Grey AW very well and the grey is the closest I could find to match.

Here is the website : http://www.fossilglobal.com/webapp/...53712&pn=&productId=22298427&imagePath=JR1356

Looks great. I have a black metal band and a black leather band coming from the Click kickstarter program, I hope it looks that good.

I just called Fossil and they told me they couldn't send out link bracelets, just straps. In order to purchase it you need to send them your Fossil watch and have them replace it.

How did you do it?

Ok, here is my buying experience for the Fossil SS bracelet. It may differ for you due to geographical reasons :

1. Went to a Fossil Brick and mortar store and browsed, saw the Nate chronograph SS watch and asked the CSO if I could buy just the bracelet of that watch and she said no but she added that I could buy the bracelet directly from their head office and she gave me the model number of the nate chronograph and contact details.
2. I called the head office quoted the model number of the nate chronograph and requested to buy the bracelet and they said no as well! They said that I had to send my watch in for repairs in order to get the bracelet, also they didn't have existing stock and had to place an order to get it shipped in from somewhere else. So I said ok, I'll bring my watch in for repairs(pretending that I actually had a nate chronograph), she confirmed my order and proceed to ship the bracelet in.
3. 2 weeks later, Fossil called and informed me that the bracelet has arrived and to fix an appointment to bring my watch in for repairs and the appointment was fixed on the next day.
4. The next day I showed up at Fossil and requested for my bracelet. They requested to see my watch and I told them that I left my house in a hurry that morning and I forgot to bring my watch. After a bit of persuasion, they sold me the bracelet straight out without seeing my watch, I paid cash and I was in and out of the head office in less than 10mins.

Damn. Lucky you. Where is this head office you went to?
Do you have that contact number to call to make the order?
