Wishful thinking, have they ever in their (Apple) existence ever done an immediate availability on the same day as announcement? (Answer rhymes with “snow”)

That would basically only cater to Apple super fans and eliminate any additional sales from the announcement/word of mouth/early reviews etc...
Many, many products have been ‘Available Today’ after keynotes past

I'm pretty sure they have done same day availability with notebooks, but they were always just spec bumps and not a full hardware refresh/new model.

So I’m saying demo on 30th with preorder after show, delivery on Friday the second. No real reason except strange openings and desire to get them going for Christmas sales.

We’ll know next week.

Still think we’ll see demos in stores after show and preorder for Friday delivery. (He said with fingers crossed)

Just for reference: Apple has never before had in-store demos that correspond with pre-orders. Once the products are available for demo they’re available to buy.

No huh. Well then maybe just preorders. I don’t know, I guess I’m hoping more than thinking logically

My guess is they announce 10/30. Take preorders for a release for some time before Black Friday (will sell out of 1st shipment), then use Black Friday to generate additional buzz by miraculously getting new shipments to retailers on time who will get to advertise “We have the hard to find new iPad!” in their Black Friday ads.

Cynicism aside there's a strong likelihood the first shipment will sell out regardless of when it hits stores. If even most of the rumored changes are true (and the price doesn't skyrocket) there will be strong demand but I'm betting Apple is conservative how many it makes/ships at first because, while they know there'll be demand after a big refresh, overall iPad demand has been shrinking.

Wow I’m Nostradamus
