I bought one for my Blackbook C2D. It does add a lot of volume to the laptop. I took it off and am going to return it. It is not the best option in my opinion. I also felt the Black book heat up more.

Honestly, I'll stick to buying invisible shields. I've tried clear shells like that for my iPod and phone, and they protect well, but the problem I had was that if anything (like a speck of sand/dirt) got lodged between the device and the shell, it would create some nasty scratches.

I just placed an order for the clear Speck hard shell case as well as BestSkinsEver full body skin, iSkin keyboard protector and Swiss Gear Synergy Notebook Backpack :) All I need to do is order the Macbook...just waiting on more funds.

I agree 100%. I bought a 60GB iPOD and from day 0, I put it into an Agent18 clear plastic case, just like these cases. Top and bottom that are fitted to the size of the device.

After researching a few of these threads, I decided to remove my iPod for the first time and to my surprise and disappointment, the iPod had small scratchs all over it. I bought this case expecting it would keep it 100% free of scratchs and because there is a slight amount of movement, it didn't protect it like I was expecting.

I am going to go back to the Radtech for my new MBP2C. It provided great protection for my Powerbook.

Speck already shipped mine out and it was too late cancelling the order. I've already printed out a return postage lol. Loss of ~$18 :(

I like the implication on that page that if you buy one, a hot chick is going to check out your package.

I wanted to place them on immediately after I receive the MB but here is a pic. Note: this is not my MB but I'll be getting a Blackbook soon.

I still have my Speck Hard Shell case, unused/brand new if anyone is interested.

Can you get these in the UK?

I really fancy one of these for my MBP. However, I'm in the UK and the shipping costs from the US are excessive to say the least.

Does anyone know if you can get these in the UK from a reseller?

miniguu, sorry but I never saw your comment asking for pictures! I just took a few snapshots of the case only so you could see its thickness.

Edit: *These are pics of the Macbook version, not the MBP. Also, I like the older 1st Gen MBP Speck cases better than the newer ones. I guess Speck had made a bunch of them with the pre-cut holes for the CD 15" before Apple came out with the C2Ds (which now have the extra FW800). To accomodate for the new port, I think Speck just eliminated the precut holes all together, similar to what w8ing4intelmacs did, I'm sure.

I just bought a black one for my Blackbook. Says I have to wait 7-10 business days..:( . I'll let you know if the quality is the same as iSkin. Came to about $16 shipped too. Super cheap.
