why should the iOS devices get all the glory. the MBA is the flagship top-line notebook.

MBA may not yet be the flagship, yet it's clear that Jobs sees the MBA as the future of notebooks.

I agree. I think within time, all MacBooks will not be user upgradable. Apple is going to market them the fastest and thinnest MacBooks. They will probably build everything onto the logic board.

Thanks pal :D

All I want in the update is:

1. Backlit keyboard
2. White or silver keys
3. Non-glossy/glassy screen
4. Retina screen - right to the edges
5. 8GB RAM option
6. 256 SSD minimum
7. SD Card Slot
8. Thunderbolt
9. GPU to drive 3x 30" screens
10. Removable SSD

Is that to much to ask? :p;)

1. Probably won't happen.
2. Nope
3. How does that work? Non-glossy with a glass screen over it?
4. Retina Screen? No way.
5. It's possible, but I wouldn't bet my change on it.
6. Too early.
7. Already on the 13"
8. Yup
9. Not out of the box.
10. Already can on current models, not sure about the next ones. Might be soldered.

That is a lot to ask for lol.

The backlit keyboard's going to take more space and energy, frankly while nice, I'm not expecting to see it in the refresh.

I don't expect to see the screen change either, since it's been working well and I doubt Apple will put a matte option on it.

Retina screen - for a 11", that's like 2560x1600 resolution. Definitely not happening.

And 3x30" monitor - I don't think there's a single embedded GPU solution that can output to 3 of those. You'd have to have a laptop w/ 2 discreet video cards I think. Definitely not happening.
