I used to use them back in my Palm days. The iPhone versions look even better. :)

I installed SplashID on my iPhone, and then upgraded the desktop version. I have not been able to get the iPhone to sync with it, or find my desktop version of SplashID with all my info I want to sync to the iPhone. Did you have any problems with SplashShopper? I will have to contact the developer. I deleted and reinstalled the iPhone version. I checked my security settings in system preferences to allow all incoming. Did yours sync right up?

Splash$

I have bought Splash$, it states it will link w/ my Bank of America account and sync but it has not been able to. Bank of America said they do not support splash. I contacted Splash and have heard nothing.

I bought SplashID yesterday (I've been running SplashID on my Vx, Clio, T3 and lately on the Samsung SGHi600 (Blackjack). It runs beautiful on the iPhone (much faster when compared to WM) and syncing works as advertised.

A quick note to those of you with sync problems: Although I've been using the latest desktop version (4.14 for OS X) I needed to download the "Mac Companion Software for the iPhone" - reports the same version but syncing works like charm. :)

I am going to try that then, download the "Mac Companion Software for the iPhone", and hope if fixes my sync issue, and I also hope it is free...

Thanks!!!

Anyone know if SplashMoney has UK support?

On the list of banks on the website it all seems to be USA banks but then it is available in the UK store...

Thanks

I'm having sync problems, too. SplashID iPhone can't find the desktop application. I'm using Vista.

anyone with any ideas? I have iTunes installed, but can't get Bonjour to work (it's installed, but I can't get the service started)... apparently it's a common problem for PC folk

Definitely not free as in beer. However, I did pay for the desktop application a long time ago and the "iPhone companion" just started up in registered mode. Still happy with it.

Nope, it's a common Splash Data problem for all folks. Check out the forums at Splash Data :(

I downloaded a newer version (found in Splash Data's forums) of Splash ID for iPhone. It synched one time then no more. And that's after it erased/deleted all of my data

Splash Shopper, like the desktop version is great (mostly because I don't need to sync it). Now Splash ID is another story. For me syncing is a necessity and that feature is not working.

Just received the following email from Splash Data support:

"We are still working on this issue which seems to involve a small percentage
of our customers.
Thanks,

Laura
SplashData"

Welcome to the Minority  NOT
If it does indeed involve a "small percentage" that says, to me, that they are the only ones trying to sync Splash ID. Like Splash Shopper, it works just fine if you don't try to sync it.

AFAIK, you have to pay a monthly fee to be able to sync data with your BofA account.

Splash Shopper is great

Here's the link to their iPhone page:
http://www.splashdata.com/splashshopper/iphone/

SplashShopper was one of the reasons I didn't switch from my Treo to an iPhone, so glad they have an iPhone version out. According to their web site, the OS X verision that syncs with the iPhone will be released soon too.

Now, if I could only buy one of these new phones (AT&T and Apple stores near me both sold out :( )

I understand a monthly fee and have that activated through bank of America but during setup when I enter details splash$ does not sync.

here's what finally worked for me (after a number of hours):

1. uninstall iTunes 7.7
2. uninstall splashID for iphone desktop program
3. reboot
4. follow msarson's fabulous advice:

"Go to the network and sharing center in vista, then manage connections. On each connection on your pc, right click and choose properties. Then uncheck tcp/ip IPV6."

5. reinstall iTunes 7.7 (and bonjour)
6. reinstall splashID for iphone desktop program
7. reboot

GOLDEN. the reboots are necessary, on the three machines we were finally able to get fixed.

special thanks to msarson. more detail and other thoughts in this thread:

I do appreciate the advice, however I am using a macintosh. And have reinstalled the app, and itunes with no luck.

I've emailed Splash Data's tech support many times, visited Splash Data's forum for help, downloaded the newest version that's supposed to fix the sync issue, but still no luck

I'm syncing SplashID with my Mac mini without any major issues... They talk well enough, the only problem I noticed that really concerned me was that when I deleted or modified one of the default entries on the iPhone then synced, my Mac seemed to overwrite the changes I made on the iPhone... Haven't had time to experiment too much but I made sure to make a backup from the desktop software as soon as I had everything copied over from the Palm app I used to use... Is there some kind of iPhone overwrites desktop, desktop overwrites iPhone or sync option like most Palm HotSync conduits used to let you pick??

is there an analogous network switch to unclick on mac (step 4)? I was unable to even re-install until I disabled that setting.

same here, works like a charm. The only thing I don't quite understand is why the Splash ID Desktop edition takes more than 2 minutes to load. I have no idea what it's doing during that time - I just get the bouncing icon on the dash...
