I thought buying SplashID in the app store entitled me to download, for me, the desktop version of the program to sync with. I heard this multiple times on the forums, but when I go to the SplashID desktop (for iPhone) download page and download it, it tells me I have a 30 day free trial.

Am I doing anything wrong, does it actually cost money for the desktop version with an iPhone purchase? If not, what are the solutions?

Buyer Beware

Splash ID is so bug ridden. I've tried every suggestion from Splash Data and it still won't sync. I keep requesting a refund but it falls on deaf ears.

I have all of Splash Data's desktop software and it runs fine but this iPhone version of Splash ID simply just does NOT work. If you haven't bought it yet . . . . don't :(

I wish I had waited because if I'd seen posts here and on Splash Data's own forums about the sync problems with Splash ID for the iPhone I NEVER would have bought it.

Migrating from SplashID to SplashID to iPhone

I've been using SplashID forever, since my Palm. On the MacOS Plataform, since Version 3.3 syncing with my HTC TyTN II through Missing Sync.

I just download but versions (the desktop and for the iPhone) and have to say; great improvement! It syncs without any problem and I did love the desktop interface. I'm posting a screen shot of both and I will test more but until now, pretty satisfied.

Cheers,

I paid full price for it despite the fact that I had already downloaded the iPhone version - never heard that you could get it for free.

Just a note that you can register your desktop client with the same code from Palm, if you've purchased it once before.

I agree with the buggy comments. I've finally got it syncing (I'm convinced it's a Bonjour issue), but the app constantly crashes, and is nowhere as nimble as it was on my Treo. Clunky, searches take forever, and often spontaneously returns me to the home screen for no apparent reason.
