My wife got the highest rated amazon knockoff in (QiFit)... Complete garbage, she clicked the return button on Amazon about 5 minutes after opening the package. You really do get what you pay for.

Over the past two years we have tried many knockoffs, all have been terrible. The rubber ones are the least bad but even then they are just ok.

None of these can hold a candle to the real deal.

I didn’t even notice the gap myself until it was posted on here. And honestly it doesn’t bother me one bit, maybe because I have never seen the OEM band in person before. I actually really really like the band I got from amazon and for the price it’s not a big loss in my opinion if you decide you don’t like it.

If you ever see a real band in person you will dislike your knockoff. Ignorance is bliss! Don’t check them out if you want to continue to like your band.

Agree with all the issues and still like them for the price. For the money I save on a few of these, I can buy AppleCare plus and also enjoy looking at the several different colors, I was tired of the one color after wearing for a month.

edit: The two apple employees wearing watches had knockoff bands, not these, but other ones.

I have the Apple loop. The little gap doesn't bother me at all. I reserve my OCD for more important things.

In my opinion the “knock off” sport loop I got from amazon is more comfortable than my Nike sport band. My Nike sport band used to be my band I wear to work, but now my sport loop (from amazon) has taken its place. I do however wear the Nike band whenever I workout.

I have seen a number of Apple employees with knock off and when asked they all have fallen back to sacrificing quality for price.

Me, I have purchased many amazon bands. In hindsight, I would have been happier directing that money spent on a couple apple bands instead of multiple knockoffs

Can you snap a photo of the gap? If I recall you have a 38?

No, that's the knockoff. There is no gap in the genuine band. I loaned the genuine band to my mother before the knockoffs were available.
Thank you, from your post I thought that was an Apple band.

For me it comes down to being happy with your purchase.
My, I guess, OCD gets the better of me.
I have walked into Apple stores, replaced the knock off band and asked the product specialist to dispose of the box and knock off. I’m sure the employees kept the bands, fine by me

Yeah, I think this is where I am coming down, too. I happily wore knock off sport bands in the past, but after awhile, the silicone turns kind of gummy. It doesn’t matter too much if you just want a ton of colors and won’t wear any of them enough for this to happen. (Or I have a couple cute Christmas print ones.) But I think I’d rather find deals on genuine Apple bands. (And I’m also OCD about the narrowness of the knockoff sport loops.)

Now, I do have a couple nice quality third-party bands that aren’t really knock-offs... customized third-party leather bands with lugs that match the gold watch, for example. Those I’m happy with.

I too have several nice leather bands from companies like clockwork synergy.Definitely not knock offs.
