Uh what? This is never gonna happen. What are the developers thinking, that maybe Apple will let a clear competitor into their ecosystem?

This is what I was thinking. It's direct competition with iTunes, there's no way Apple will allow this. Also, AT&T won't like it because of the bandwidth use.

Just seen this on the spotify forum:

"Well I'd say in the next few days, today apple seemed to have removed spotify tags from three apps which were on the store. This is either to make way for just the spotify app to appear when you search for spotify, or to remove anything to do with them.. perhaps because they may launch their own streaming service at their next iPod event (Sept 9th).. either way we can only speculate."

I just want it to have the same content if/when it hits the US. I'm guessing the app will be geotagged like on the desktop, so even if I could somehow get a username/password with premium subscription it wouldn't be practical for iPhone use (unlike my home computer where I use a proxy/VPN). :(

Spotify App approved

Spotify has now been approve and will show up soon in the app store where Spotify are available.

I think it can take a good few days after apple has approved an app to actually getting in the store. I reckon it will be next week now.

I'm really excited about this App. The one thing which was putting me off before was the fact that you can't always rely on streaming. Now seeing that you can actually save music to play offline is the clincher for me. Access to any album, any song, any artist at anytime - fantastic.
