I used them in the past and thought the service was good. It was spotty in areas, and I eventually moved to an area where they didn't have service at all. But as long as the service is available where you need it they seem to be pretty good value for the money.

Yeah I think I am going to have to jump on the deal.
Not sure which offer I am taking yet, the year free is tempting (1, because I need the hotspot & 2, if it sucks I literally paid next to nothing) but the 15 a month per line is a great offer as well.

I would go with the free year unless you have friends on Sprint and know it will be good enough for you in your area.

We have had Sprint since it merged with Nextel. In 2010 wife and I did a cross country RV trip of 8,000 miles over 2 and a half months. We had coverage except when in the real middle of nowhere or deep inside a National Park. Not sure any body would provide service in those locations. We also have another advantage, we live in the Daytona Beach area. Sprint was a huge sponsor of NASCAR and wanted to make sure their customers coming to the events had good service, so in our area coverage is excellent.

Nice!
So sprint work wells for you. What price are you paying?
[doublepost=1529099395][/doublepost]Only downside that is slowing me down is if I like the Sprint service & kick myself for not doing the 15/mo plan. Hell for 2 lines I would only be paying $30.
(I did read things could be a bit slower on the streaming side/no hotspot which I use occasionally) I think other than that both plans are exactly the same. It is a tough little gamble because if I wind up sticking with them for a 2-3 years as long as they keep the price the same I would actually be ahead vs. taking the year free. With the year free though I am on the hook for nothing if they suck.

So I do not have long to make my decision...

Thanks appreciate the post, just not sure what the last two sentences mean.
Either way I may give them a try, not sure if I will do their 15mo a line deal or the free year...
It means that these customers are willing to accept and justify subpar service. Why, I do not know.

Think I made up my mind. Going to go the free deal route. It has more of what I need plan wise. If I do like it I come out ahead. I can take advantage of phone upgrade deals as soon as 4 months (new iPhone release) & I can do the payment plan & possibly a buy one get 1 free vs. buying 2 phones out right at full cost along with being able to upgrade after a year if I am still with them. Plus that merger with TMo, who knows what could happen so....

Well I debated hard last night on what to do.
The 15/month plan I really wanted to do but did not do it.
I am going to take advantage of the 1 year free because I do want the hotspot & I might want to take advantage of a new phone deal in the future. Also if the service is unbearable I am off the hook.
Kind of feel like I should have jumped on the 15/mo but oh well it is over now.

Anyone here do the Sprint 1 year free of service?
How was it?
What were taxes??
You can literally have a free year & just pay taxes then move on to another carrier if they are terrible!
[doublepost=1529023102][/doublepost]I don't know which would be a better deal... if you hate take the 1 month free and you find sprint won't meet your needs so you leave them after you year of free service you are head.
However if you stick with them prices go to 100 a month, so if you did the kick start plan then it is only 15 a month each lines plus taxes so if you stay with them in the long run (2 years or more) then you come out ahead... big decision..
I paid $0.48 tax per month with Virgin on their free year.

Nice! Did you stay with Sprint?
I just switched to TMOB a few weeks before my 1 year was complete. I was on the VM deal that offered the SE and a year of service for under $300. The VM signal in my home was far superior to my TMOB signal, even with the Personal Cellspot they sent.

What is VM?
Either way why did you switch if the signal was stronger with Sprint?

I have one question with Sprint, I notice on the android they have the calling plus feature which allows you to talk & surf at the same time.

Is this a feature or way/option to have an iPhone be able to talk & surf the net as well on Sprint?
