I'm using the Crucial RealSSD 300 128GB in my 2008 Mac Pro with no issues. Also used the Corsair Force F115 and that seemed to work fine, too.

I wouldn't call it poor. I read all of Anand's reviews and recall his comments on the late GC of the M4, but the conditions under which he had to expose it are rather extreme...

Anand's tests are definitely extreme but I think they still have some merit and could translate to real world usage in some degree. Performance degradation in general is overhyped though, most users will never experience it, but I would still take it into account when comparing drives.

But yeah, the Crucial m4 is a great drive too, so it looks like we are back to Crucial, Samsung and Intel since the FW update is out.

BTW, have I seen hints that you write for Anand (I thought I saw some hints elsewhere)? If so, that's great! :)

Yup, that is true :)

I ended up getting Crucial C4 drive during Newegg's Shell Shocker. Came out to be $200 shipped for 128GB version. Going to install it over the weekend
