Hi,
Was all very excited this morning to try it out!
So far I like it but when I open the notifications center I dont have any thing in there.
No clock, no weather....nothing!
However when I log in as a guest user its all there?
Any ideas?

I'm having the same issue, I tried reinstalling to no avail. All I get is Today, Tomorrow and the Delivery app.

I have the same issue. There are no notification widgets available to add except social. Indeed they are there if I log in as a guest user.

It seems to stem from the fact that in System Preferences there is absolutely nothing listed under Extensions. Both "Actions" and "Share Menu" are missing, and "Today" contains only "Social".

For this reason, Airdrop is also missing from the Finder, because it apparently has to be checked under "Share Menu" which is gone.

Very strange.

My widgets are there but they don't work. I can't add any clocks or click the buttons on the calculator.

Having same issue with widgets. I've even reinstalled 3 times cause Apple said to try and reinstall over again. You can always reinstall but never downgrade without doing clean install.
I think this issue is from Public Beta 6 upgrade to Final Version.
Everything else seems to be working no problem, I had one error about the Logitech kext file not working but other than the widgets, all else is good.

fixed it!

So i had the same issue, what i did to solve it, is what follows:
Went into Macintosh HD ▸ System ▸ Library ▸ Frameworks ▸ NotificationCenter.framework ▸ PlugIns
here you can find the widgets you have installed in you mac, what I did was change the name of weather into com.apple.ncpluggin.Weather.appex ; and stocks into com.apple.ncpluggin.Stocks.appex , I'm not sure if this was necessary, though.
Then I just double clicked in each one, it will open with widget simulator app, press the green button and voila, they now appear in my notification center.

I already posted this on another thread, I'm not sure if it's fine to post it twice but nevermind.

Awesome, thanks! I also had to manually open the widget simulator, but they're working now after doing that and following the rest of your instructions.

I actually didn't even need to drag them onto the simulator. Once it was opened, double clicking worked. (BTW, I also didn't need to rename any of the widgets.)

Hopefully Apple or someone will post how to fix the Social Widget, the Social Share in Safari and the fact there is no markup section in the extensions tab inside system preferences. Only 3 things left to fix, otherwise a great new OS.

Same here. Wife's Mac upgraded today. Broken social and no widgets.

"It just works"

I'd love to "Drag it into the simulator" but I don't know what a Simulator is. She was running Mavericks, now Yosemite, and this stuff just isn't there.

Thanks - Ran through the steps and I have recovered some widgets.

Still broken: Social, Share button in Safari (No Services), and in Settings - Extensions, the Share Menu and Actions (Markup) are nowhere to be found.

Had a chat with Apple support and no good suggestions. Reading posts on other forums, this does seem to be account-specific. If I create a new account, or log in as a guest, I don't see the issue. I'm not Mac-savvy so I don't know how hard it it to rename the bad login, create a new one, and then move files and folders. That's what I'm tempted to do at this point, since waiting for a patch or hotfix might be a while...

This works for me.

open 2 finder windows.

Window 1
Macintosh HD ▸ System ▸ Library ▸ Frameworks ▸ NotificationCenter.framework ▸ PlugIns

Window 2
Macintosh HD ▸ System ▸ Library ▸ Frameworks ▸ NotificationCenter.framework ▸ Versions ▸ A ▸ Resources (you will see the widget simulator app)

Dont open the widget simulator, just drag each widget plugin from Window 1 onto the widget simulator app and it will open each one.
Then check the notification centre and all should be good!

This method worked for me, but the widgets disappeared again after restart.:(

Also, I cannot change the Notification settings in System Preferences (banners, alerts, sounds, etc). Any change I make to them reverts to defaults upon reboot.

It's definitely an account-specific problem.

I "resolved" the issue by creating a new account - It took about 2 hours. Steps below.

1) Rename existing account "Full name" but leave all other account options including Account name unchanged.
2) Sign user out of iCloud, disabling all iCloud options
3) Back up contents of Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Movies, Music, Pictures and Public folders in user folder to USB drive (Creating new folders on USB for each of the above)
4) Create NEW user on Yosemite with unique Account name but same Full name as the one I renamed in step (1)
5) Log in as new user, enable iCloud. Copy contents of USB drive to new user folder, again one folder at a time.
6) Set up mail, run post migration test to make sure iTunes purchased music will play, photos are there, documents are available to new user, etc.
7) Delete old user and smoke the old user account folder

New user account has working Share button in Safari, all stock widgets, "Actions" and "Share Menu" are visible in "System Preferences -> Extensions" and life is good.

I can only assume something went wrong during the upgrade from Mavericks to Yosemite on this particular machine (I upgraded 4 Macs, and this one did NOT show a user agreement or "setting up this mac" screens the first time I logged into it post-upgrade).

Ok for me after restart.
