iPad Pro Staples Apple Pencil Pre Orders.

Staples is taking pre orders for delivery on the 20th if anyone wants to order one incase they can't find one locally before then.

Seems like a case of an ignorant Staples employee not knowing there is a massive shortage of Apple Pencil. I doubt the delivery date is Nov. 18/19/20/x if Apple themselves are backordered 4-5 weeks.

Does not mean that they did not have stock already allocated to other retailers.
 
And as of today Staples has taken the Apple Pencil off the search results, you can still view it if you saved the link, but pre-orders are no longer being accepted. Looks like their initial shipment has already been allocated to pre-orders. The smart keyboard is still available for pre-order although it has a ship time of somewhere up to 6 days after processing. Not sure if this is normal or not. (I submitted pre-orders for both a couple of days ago and show a ship date of 11/18 with an arrival of 11/19 expected.)

I actually ordered from Staples yesterday. My guessing is that somebody canceled his/her order so that I had a chance.
 
It is very interesting that when I was checking my apple pencil status on safari on my cell phone, it says it is in transit. But when I checked it with either a laptop or the mobile app, it became processing again.

I checked my order from my phone on safari and it said processing. Hoping it ships as expected. :)
 
Still shows when I did a search.It does show This now.I have noticed dates have fluctuated between 1-7 business days though.

I just got one from the local Apple Store. Try to talk to the online specialist first before visiting the store so you know if they have stock.

Yeah I got mine this afternoon at the San Francisco Union Square Apple Stor, cancelled all my superfluous Pencil orders :D

Just got an email that my keyboard and pencil are delayed, but I can't say I'm surprised.

Keyboard had an expected delivery date of tomorrow but it's been delayed until Monday 11/30.

Pencil had an expected delivery date of 11/24 but it's delayed until 12/03.

I ordered Saturday afternoon so hopefully others who ordered before me weren't delayed. I'm guessing they got less shipment from Apple than expected.
 
I received an email this morning from Staples that my Apple Pencil order has been delayed from November 20th to December 1st.
