I ordered an hour after it was posted at Staples. Pencil is delayed until the 30th.
 
Same here both my keyboard and pencil order from staples has been "delayed" until
November 30th. Really odd. The shortage must be much more severe than anticipated.
 
I had ordered my pencil and keyboard in the same order. Today they split my order up and opened a new order for the keyboard. I'm not sure why. My dates didn't change so I have no complaints but curious why. Did this happen to anyone else?
 
Since I placed my order, it was slated "for delivery" to my local Staples store on Nov 20... But I logged into their site tonight to check status, and now my order says CANCELLED!?!

No e-mail or other warning to say it, just outright cancelled. Anyone else experienced the same thing?

My pencil order has a quantity of 0 now... I emailed them and haven't heard a reply. I'm assuming they just mass cancelled everyone's orders if you also have the same issue.
 
My order has been cancelled too without email or any notice. There is no order history on my account.
 
Check the Apple retail stores, call the local number and then say "MANAGER" so you don't get the 1-800 number when u press the number for availability. Ask them if they have in stock, many stores are getting them even though people like us have pre orders that aren't shipping. Trust me, I had a pre order for next week minimum and my local store had a whole bunch. Try to call now!

Well I don't know what is going on with three ordering anomalies. But my pencil and smart keyboard have both shipped for delivery tomorrow. Honestly it might just be dumb luck since I too got a status update of delayed until the 30th. Now they will be here tomorrow and that is confirmed with UPS.

From Staples? You've got to be kidding me.....Ordered direct from Apple within the first 2 hours and still stuck in Processing.... such BS.... Not directed at you, enjoy your new toy but Apple really made a mess of this launch.

Yes. From staples. My order with Apple still shows a December 2-5 delivery date. LOL. I've requested to cancel that order since I won't be needing it any longer.

Really odd launch with these accessory shortages.
 
I see a Staples package in UPS My Choice but it's still just at order processed so it hasn't actually been shipped yet. I assume this is the keyboard since my pencil order is MIA. I'm in Ohio and it looks like it's shipping from California so it's going to take a while by ground.
 
Update on all the Staples drama. Staples cancelled and recreated both my orders with them. Now the ship date is November 30th. They also charged my card again. When I called for an explanation and complained about the process. Customer service hung up on me. Needless to say I'll not be doing business with them in the future.

Mine always stated the 30th
 
Just got an email today from Staples saying they couldn't fulfill my Apple Pencil order due to it being out of stock. Staples is completely FUBAR right now. I'm cancelling. Besides I already got what I need from Apple and Best Buy lol
 
I'd be careful with Staples at this point.

I lucked out and got a Pencil in stores, at Best Buy. So I sent my cancellation to Staples, and they had confirmed it (all through e-mail). About a week later, I'm seeing charges from Staples and the total was the exact amount for the Pencil. Not just one, but freaking two charges! This is after the whole drama with the delayed dates and such.

I'm completely flustered at this point about this whole situation.
 
Yesterday I received a call from Staples. The lady said they couldn't fulfill my order and that is has been cancelled. If I had not found an iPad Pro and Pencil I would have been furious. I actually wanted to cancel my Staples order a week ago but Staples does not allow you to cancel orders. Which is pretty ridiculous!

I feel sorry for anyone who pre-ordered from Staples and just assumed they would fulfill their order. This is pretty poor customer service on Staples part. They were the first ones to offer a pre-order and then a few weeks later reneged on their offer. I will never pre-order from Staples ever again. They really need to learn a back on customer service 101.
