And I was fairly surprised at the outcome of the story, to be honest. With Hollywood usually of the mindset of "let's see what happens and make more if needed", killing off the entire cast without even a hint of a possibility for a sequel is not something I would have expected from Disney.
While I hated to see that occur, it was the right way to finish the movie. I applaud the makers of Rogue One to have the guts to put that out there.

Was'nt Rogue Squadron a series of books that just got short changed? Just curious.
Yes, it was part of the Expanded Universe, which was renamed Star Wars Legacy. Disney basically threw away what was canon to rewrite the story. I'm not complaining, just pointing it out :)

It was also a comic book series that I actually liked. But the comic books were also very different than the movie.

I've been seeing on the web too many people doing a frame by frame dissection of the trailer. Kind of removes the fun and mystery of the movie. I don't want to know all the secrets, I want to enjoy the movie. While I do enjoy the trailers I try to avoid all of the other chatter that seems to occur

You and me both. I don't want to know everything prior to going into the movie.
