excellent game but i'm restricted by the fact that i do not like playing on low settings, especially after seeing what it looks like on 1680x1050 on ultra. :(

I'm particularly annoyed that they didn't add native AA support. The only way to have antialiasing is to use Windows and use the nVidia/ATI driver utility to force AA on. Enabling it in this manner kills performance big time though, it is *far* better to have it enabled straight in the game. Even with a 5970 in Windows 2xAA makes the game unplayable. For a game with such middle of the range graphics that's simply ridiculous.

Really? I have a 5850 with 2xAA force and I average around 50 fps. Unless I somehow get into the late game with a 200/200 army then it drops around to 30 fps during battle.

I have it and love it but my graphics setting is on low :S and so im on a quest for a awesome graphics card for my mac pro so i can use intense and play other games at high levels of graphics, also want to do some video stuff.

I tried to change the setting to high and the graphics looked awful on my 7300 gt :S

This is an insane game. Insane. SP is fine but battlenet is where the real fun happens. 1v1 is spectacularly intense and complex, and team games are hill-arious.

Must buy. Multiple times.

PS I heard there was down a downloadable demo version available from the site?

Was considering buying this but have not read too much about it. But can someone clear it up for me... Do you have to pay a monthly fee ?

You've probably realized this by now, since I'm responding so late, but...

It's not a pay-per-month game, you just buy the game and the rest is free. ( as all games should be IMHO )
