You have helped by bringing things to light that I hadn't considered.
However I'm potentially even more in two minds now!!
I am leaning towards a new for the following reasons.
I won't pay the VAT on it reducing the initial outlay to 650 not 800. I am also going to see if I can get a black Friday deal from a reseller to save a few extra pounds (appreciate this probably won't be much)
The peace of mind and warranty will be there in the most important year of the business, the first year.
I will also be able to claim it as a business expense and will receive tax relief on it for its purchase cost.
It should perform pretty well for what I need and make work pain free from that perspective (appreciate a 2012 could also do that but this *should* perform better)
I have a couple of months to play with anyway so may change my mind again but this seems like the best option. My work revolves around me being at the computer and/or the phone all day so I think the core machine being reliable or easy to fix if something goes wrong is key.
Monitors mouse keyboards etc I can skimp on a bit.
