Starting Timer on iPad 10 but does not go off?

Hi all
on iPad OS 17.3 on an iPad 10. I start the timer then launch YouTube Kids. The timer does not go off! I go back to the Timer app and the timer isn't even started...this has happened several times. Is there a known bug here? am I missing something?

Works fine for me with iPadOS 17.3.1 and regular YouTube. Are you using anything like Guided Access? Maybe that's causing it to stop working due to permissions.
