So I tried fleksy on iOS 9.3 beta 4 (iPhone 6s plus). It was laggy as hell. Is it because of 3rd parties or is it Apple that should fix its support.
Is the situation any better iOS 9.2 or iPhone 6s?
It's funny because I've used Fleksy since iOS 8.3.. I've found it works great. There is no lag whatsoever.. And with their latest update, the keyboard animates on open/close, so can you describe the problem?
iPad mini 2(And iPads have always been slower than iPhones)
When we discuss keyboard lag, it usually means when the letters you type don't instantly appear on the screen, or if it doesn't respond as expected. For some reason, third party keyboards have never animated properly on iOS(except iOS 9 beta 3 or 5).Its opening closing animations stutters a lot. It has background image with some opacity. By the way its on ipgone 6s plus. Is yor device plus or smaller iphone?
Tried a few 3rd party keyboards and as I have not been an iPhone user for a few years maybe someone more knowledgeable could answer this for me?
Why does it alternate between the 3rd party and stock keyboard depending on if you are entering text or passwords? I have given the 3rd party keyboard full access so expected it to be the default keyboard for all apps.
Running a iPhone 6S Plus with iOS 9.3 Beta 4
I believe that's somewhat a security thing. Apple wants passwords to be entered by their keyboard and not something 3rd party.
Swiftkey has become downright pathetic. It was great when it was first released, and the perfect fit if you have a non-Plus iPhone.
But the Plus-sized phone feels a bit too big for quick swiping; and, the developer has left we iOS folks out in the cold without a thumb-oriented keyboard like the Android folks have, and we are left out in the cold without any of the many enhancements/updates that Android users get.
Swiftkey has become dead to me.
I think that's one of those RAM roadblocks. And apple won't admit that has anything to do with it. My friend's mini 1 has very frequent issues with third party keyboards reverting to stock. My mini 2 and iPhone 6 face the issue too, albeit not as frequently, but sometimes the keyboard completely disappears from the list and only a reboot fixes it.Swiftkey still doesn't pop up sometimes on mine. This has been an issue for me since they allowed 3rd Party Keyboards. I find it incredible that after all this time they cannot fix that coding.
Which keyboard is it? Is it jailbroken?Either can I.

Force Touch for copying and pasting is the best thing ever, pretty cool for Markdown too. I have DuckDuckGo Bangs in there as well, ha. And just general shortcuts for things I type a lot within the main long press gesture.

Still occasionally suppressed for me in Messages. Or the default keyboard will pop up first even though I have my keyboard ordered to SK - Emoticons - Default.Swiftkey works just fine on 9.2.1 and 9.3 without screwing up. I even removed the regular keyboard so SwiftKey is the only keyboard on the list. It's auto correct is even better than Apple's native keyboard because it learns how you hit keys and adjusts for it.

So primarily it's apple's fault- but is it a software problem or hardware decision problem?
For the record, I haven't heard any 6s users complain.
Why you switch back to iOS?Ah ok that makes sense there is a lot which has changed since I last used an iPhone with iOS 4 or 5.
