Holding off is always a gamble as Apple might inadverteny close the exploits, i am sure however that they consider carefully when they release (if at all)

Hopefuly you did a full manual save of your blobs, because auto-saved blobs from cydia are invalid.

On the iP4 you can extract valid blobs for your current firmware with ifaith

I had no idea :) i've been trying to stay away from all those JB news otherwise it gets very confusing. Apparently this is important. So ifaith saves blobs directly on my desktop or their server?

thanks for the tip again :)

EDIT: Can't find a Mac version for iFaith also what happened to all my blobs that I saved to Cydia before? Jesus it's really hard to keep up with this JB world!

Unfortunately its unclear right now if NCSettings will ever be updated for iOS 7. Last I heard, the dev stopped working on it to focus on other things. The LTE, 3G, and Edge toggle caused all kinds of issues because of the various carrier settings. 2 updates ago caused the vast majority of devices to crash repeatedly (mine included) and that's when the dev announced he was no longer working on the tweak. He released one more update to fix these issues and hasn't released anything since.

I love NCSettings and I'm hoping the dev finds renewed interest in iOS with the new devices and new iOS! He's very talented!

Use SBSettings instead?

iFaith is windows only, use a VM if necessary.

Are you referring to auto saved blobs on Cydia or those uploaded manually by you?

If you are asking about iOS6 SHSH, there was an issue with Cydia saving those SHSH and Cydia did not save them with a complete APTicket so they cannot be used for re-restore.

Thanks for that, i just read about it... people using iFaith but i don't have a PC was wondering if there's an alternative..
cheers

Nope, only iFaith can do this, TU only works while the firmware is still signed, iFaith can do it later as well.

There is a windows redsn0w version as well

Ok I just created bootcamp and installed windows 7 and saved the blobs on my desktop. Thanks for the great tip. I don't need it at the moment but you probably saved my life for future of JB'ing :)

But what about....

I ditched my jb for iOS 7, I don't regret it so far.

There's three things I miss though;

Activator- purely for holding down the vol button to play/pause.

Nitrous - I'd forgotten how crushingly slow Alien Blue is without it :(

Adblock - wow, there's whole reams of ads on websites I regularly visit that I've previously been blissfully unaware for the last 7 months!

Otherwise, I'm surprised how little I miss, although I'll be jailbreaking at the earliest opportunity. I kind of hope they hold off a bit, until say 7.1.2 when it's been optimised more and bugs have been squashed.

What about MyWi. This is the MAIN reason I jailbroke in the first place as I have a grandfathered unlimited data plan from ATT.
I will wait and hope for the iOS7 JB in a 3-6 months.

I'm in the UK on unlimited data with Three, with tethering. As such, lack of MyWi isn't a concern.
