I also picked this up. I've had state of decay on my wishlist for a while

Apparently it maxes out at 1080P resolution... ugh. Still, I played with the demo for a few hours on 360 a long time ago, and had fun.

Uh, I got it for a little over 5 bucks during a flash deal. Remember, if it's not a daily or flash deal, wait for the last day!

Brothers for $2 is crazy. It's a short game, but one of the best I've played in the last five years.

I'm hoping against hope they'll put CoD: MW3 on flash sale for 75% off or more. I'm not paying 25% off. They can kiss my ass for that price.

I've found another steam game kinda like "Monster Summer Game". There are a plenty of awesome games on sale you can hardly find as none of them are on a main page and these games don't even appear in a quick search. Got a Collapse and Sledgehammer with 80% off! On Collapse steam page I've found info about some sort of free games lottery going on there. Link to the full list of games participating in the lottery could be found on the same page :)

Probably against my better judgment, I just bought one of the flash sales: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. I really enjoyed the first one -- the story, voice acting, God of War-like gameplay, and especially the music. I heard negative things about the sequel, but for $10, figured I'll give it a shot, as I've enjoyed all the other Castlevania games (even that not-so-good one on the 3DS).

Stay away from Metro 2033 Redux. The OS X port is absolutely terrible - single-digit framerates are made worse by the fact that's impossible to change the resolution (it was running at 1920x1080 on my external monitor). There's a pretty big discussion in the Steam community about the problems, which apparently the developer has acknowledged but has yet to act upon.

I've asked for a refund on this one and will stick to playing the original releases: 2033 on Windows and Last Light on OS X.

I think I remember reading that the Metro games were pretty punishing even on PCs? Lighting always looked really good though from what I saw.

i agree, i think the original metro 2033 looks better in bootcamp than the redux does in OS X because on my 2011 iMac the original runs in high settings and the mac redux is treacle at lower settings

thought i'd got out unscathed, but on looking back...
assasins creed 3, call of juarez, far cry 3 blood dragon 11.23
assassins creed black flag deluxe 11.99
dishonored brigmore witches dlc 4.99
dishonored knife of dun wall dlc 6.99
wolfenstein 12.49

so €47.69 spent on nothing much...ouch..

At only $1.50 for Castle Crashers... I bit on that one as well. I'M DONE.

I also ended up with The Stanley Parable since it had been on my wishlist for a over a year

I was very good this year. I spent less than $20 all told. I got Outlast, its DLC, Shadow Warrior, and System Shock 2.

Purchased Serious Sam 3 ($CDN 5.79) and Assassin's Creed Brotherhood ($7.xx).

Quake 4 is on sale for $5 on Macgamestore, so I'll purchase that as well. And Amnesia is $5 on App Store.. Maybe I should get that too. Then I'll be good for the rest of the year.
