I actually dropped my 13 Pro more with a case on than I ever did in the 8 months it was naked.

It was far gripper naked than my wisteria leather
When you drop it with a case it doesn’t matter. I think you unconsciously become a little more careless when using a case because you know your phone has a 99% survival rate when dropped whereas if you drop your naked phone on a hard floor or pavement, the minimum expectation is that you will end up with minor cosmetic dinks and scratches in addition to a fairly large chance of cracked glass on the back or front. Not worth the hassle in my opinion to get it repaired just because it “feels better” to hold.

It is also not environmentally friendly to constantly get your phone repaired or replaced just because you have a cosmetic preference insofar that you like the look and feel of a naked phone.

I already tried to update to Pro model once but for the love of God - they are not just heavier but also "frosted glass" back makes them super slippery.

10min with Pro model (13 or 12) and i get back to the regular model to praise its grip.

I get it - most people put their iPhones in the cases and dont notice this, bit if you go naked - the difference is SO big that I really cannot understand it.

Why not making titanium frame or just keep aluminum - and for the frosted glass - why not making that mat design inside so that visually it looks the same but keep the surface glossy...

Anyone?

When you have the 14 Plus weighing the same more or less as the standard 14 Pro you know it’s a problem. The 14 Pro Max is only 10 grams off weighing a quarter of a kilogram which is a bit mad for a phone. Apple does really need to ditch stainless steel and move to titanium. The 14 Plus only weighs a fraction more then my XR even. Aluminium definitely has its benefits.

I don’t know, I’m not really gripping the back, I’m gripping the sides, which are fine for me.

I’ve had the 12/13/14 Pro, so maybe I’m just used to it, but I don’t use cases, and it doesn’t feel slippery to me.

I think grip is subjective as everyone’s hands are different. Plus I guess some are more greasy or sweaty then others?

Fingerprints are part of life. We'll always have oils on our skin and fingerprints aren't going anywhere 🤣
