Great setup, yours inspired me to build my own desk and setup. (Work in Progress)

I do have one question: What did you use, or how did you mount the Line in L & R And Phones Ports on the side of the desk?

@stefmesman,

As many others already offered, great setup and many thanks for posting your work & how to's.

I really think due to the interest & help you've provided thus far to consider custom jobs.

Maybe a stupid question, but is there anything powering the speakers? Or are they just connected to the Konnekt 6?

What speakers/monitors do you have? I did have a read of your post but couldn't see the make/model of them..

You have a really nice setup man. I think I'm going to try and do something similar too.

Really awesome setup.

Question though, would smaller speaker been better?
I prefer the setup of speaker which is hardly noticeable but does awesome job.

But that's just me.. overall just great great setup man.. thanks for sharing!!

That's quite fantastic! I built something similar a long long time ago because I was fed up with having both a graphics tablet and midi keyboard on my desk. But I had to bin it all! I like being able to move my iMac around.

Still, that's (was?) one hell of a setup.

pic of entire set-up with one shot? id like to see it from a far.

i like wall idea, i jsut dont like the speakers, and how big they are. they take away too much from the monitor imo.

hello, well.. these are ''semi'' professional sound monitors, smaller speakers do not have the same frequency reproduction. as i use them for video productions i need my sound to be good. of course a smaller set of speakers would suffice if i didn't need to have a good sound reproduction.

----------

Mobile setup? Does that mean you dont need your desk anymore :D

hahaha well i don't use it that often now anymore, but i still use it as ''main'' place for heavy work.

Great build!

Awesome awesome! I have a question. The green board you mentioned was mdf with 9/14 cm screws. Is it one board or two? I ask this because i wanted to figure out a way to create that "cavity"for the wiring. Not completely sure on how you did it. Thanks for any reply!

it is one board. sorry for the late reply. i just made a hole and put all my wires through before attaching it to the wall. be shire you keep some decent space behind the board in between the wall and the board. I can quite easily still put in another cable without a big hassle.
