Who's complaining? I just was asking if there was actually anyone who wanted this. And I've never heard anyone say the Note 2 was too small.

EDIT: except the guy above me

And before Samsung innovated with the original Galaxy Note, did you also have God like powers to know that people want larger screens in their phones?

Don't like it? You're the iPhone user trolling the alternatives sub-forum.... See ya!
;)

Doesn't mean he has to like Android. He might be a fan of iOS and WP/W8.

As to the topic, what happens to all the people who loved the screen size of the Note 2, think it's the perfect size and don't want it any bigger- what are they supposed to do if they want another, updated Note? I guess they just have to deal with it, but it'll suck for those who love the Note as is.

If you read the post history of matttye, you will see he is an rabid Apple loyalist. He dismisses anything other than Apple as inferior and only comes in here to troll us.

For the Note size, it will be interesting to see what Samsung does with it's size and whether there will be two sizes of the Note 3. Everything is just a rumor at this point.

I find it ironic that Apple is anti-choice, but when Samsung continues to up the screen size of their phones, essentially forcing customers to adapt or get an older phone its innovative and a "computer replacement".

 why can't we all just get along?

You have a range of 4" - 6" android phones. No ones forcing any customer to one screen size. If you want the latest iOS phone however, that's a different story.

When will the madness end? Does anyone else wonder why they keep upping the screen sizes each year? Is there a cry for 6" phones now? No, I don't believe so....for the most part I'm getting told how awesome 4.7" - 5" phones are.....why Samsung, must you continue to make these gargantuan slabs of tech?

Maybe because they can't figure out how to optimize the device properly and instead have to throw a massive battery, huge processor, more RAM etc into it to make it run smoothly? ;)

Just a thought....

C'mon now... the Note isn't the only option. There are plenty of form factors coming from the Galaxy line with different screen sizes, the newest hardware and up to date touchwiz features.

Also when does Touchwiz not run smoothly?

You might want to check my post history yourself because I don't do that. :p

I respond to what I feel is unfounded criticism of Apple/iOS devices, I'm not the one who continually attacks an OS on these forums; that would be you.

If you're a fan of the Note, however, you are being forced into getting a particular screen size. It may not be an issue for a lot of people, but those who love the Note's size as is are going to get shafted.

At this point, we don't know if Samsung will offer the current size of the note in future devices. My guess is that they will, surely if consumers want it.

For me, I would love the rumored Note 3; however, I realize it's not for everybody.

Poor Note II owners, if they feel the Note III screen is to big, they definitely are getting shafted if they purchase a different device like the S4 or Nexus 5.

At this point it's just rumors but I do think there is a logical explaination for the larger screen.
If Samsung decides to go with no physical buttons, the screen could be extended on the lower section to accommodate for buttons on the touch screen. Thus the overall dimension will be similar to the note II but the screen itself would just be longer and thus the 6.3" screen.

These phones are only for the NBA. No way small Asians in Japan/Korea/China could use these phones.

Dont think there are any Koreans in the NBA and they seem to manage fine. Now for me, the Note 2 is way too big and id never buy one but im also not in the tech business where i need something like that. My GS3 is as big as id like to go for a phone.

Ha Seung-Jin (2005-2006) would have begged to differ if these smartphones were out back then.....

For me, the peak in screen sizes justified as a "smartphone" has been hit. The Huawei assend Mate measures at 6.1" and for me that its as large as it will get. Tablet size begins at 7". Now the war is all about design, fucntion, OS, and processors. Maybe Smasung could make a 6.5" screen and market it perfectly as a phablet. But personaly after purchasing the Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0. 6.1 is the Max a smart phone can go. Screen resolution can get better along with PPI, but not size.
