I thought he looked just fine during the keynote. He could do away with the gray beard, as a gray beard can make anyone look a little older. I'm sure he's doing fine.

I just sent him a 'Glad you are robust at them mo, hope everything is cool with you generally' e-card, amazing what hallmark have now!

Will let you know if he gets back to me...

Exactly. He looks just like he's always been in the past 5 years...perhaps with a little less weight, perhaps with a gray beard...nothing else.

No wonder these "news" were spread by Mr. Paul Winblows "Turd"ott...the best disciple of John Dvorak.

The prospect of going to jail can take a toll on you as well. He might not want to be as "public" while these investigations are going on.

That conspiracy theory aside, he did seem to lack the mental acuity and enthusiasm of previous keynotes.

Remember the good old days with the "bake-offs"?

Robust health...

My guess is Steve has been reading the latest research that suggests that people who consume a very low calorie diet live longer. He has always been a bit of a health nut and this is the latest craze.

Be wary of research based on such a small group of people is all I'll say here. Much bigger studies are needed before any conclusion can be drawn.

Steve is a well known vegetarian btw. low cal diets are trickier as a vegetarian.

Steve looks just fine to me. Yeah, he has lost some weight, but it was needed & he WAS overweight this time last year. He doesnt look tired or anything, but the beard should go.

Its funny whenever someone loses some pounds, people assume they are sick. Happened to me too.

You guys are really paranoid.
He actually looks his age, and I think he is doing great for what it is. :)

he's pescetarian (sp). a vegetarian that eats fish.

it was the beard

I know personally when I let me salt and pepper beard grow in I look much older and more scraggly. That's probably why I didn't notice any kind of "frail" appearance when I watched the presentation. Just seemed like Steve Jobs with one of those beards!

How annoying it must be to have Wired's website write a whole article about how you might be sick and might be losing it...

I don't see what the fuss is all about. I just thought it was plain simple - he usually wears a black turtleneck sweater at these events.. this time he wasn't wearing one. He is obviously going to look skinnier, and you could see his skinny forearms.

He often appears unshaven. This is not what people have been noticing. He also doesn't look "older." This is also not what people are noticing.

Too bad if Steve is annoyed. I'm sure if he rubbed some money on his irritation it would go away.

Please post photos of an "overweight" Steve Jobs. I've never seen one.

This is a video uploaded by yours truly from last year. You can clearly see Steve isnt exactly what I would call "in shape". Now, weather you wanna call him "overweight" or not is up to you, but he has been fatter in the past (around 1999).

Just check out the rest of the videos to see what I mean. Just compare that Steve to the Steve from the early/mid 80s. I'd say he is much heavier in the more recent videos, wouldnt you?? I personally would call him overweight in some of those.

Im glad he is getting in shape & slimming down.

I don't think that Steve has been overweight at any point recently, at least not according to a general BMI. Well, I think so, I'm too lazy to look one up.

There's also a difference between being in shape and being skinny. Several months ago, at the peak of my weight loss, I weighed 128 lbs, and was the same height I am now, 6' 1" (no, I'm not anorexic). I was pretty skinny (underweight, in fact), but not in shape. I couldn't run (entirely) a mile. I had (and still have) very little muscle mass.
