Interestingly too on iPhone (not iPad) on 18.0.1 under Privacy, then files and folders, there is a broken stickers icon toggle. No such toggle on iPad. (Stickers still words on iPad.)
Wonder if related to the issue we have 🤔
I'm seeing the icon missing too.

So after almost a full 24 hours after resetting my phone and restoring from back up, my stickers are now back and working! They were working right after the restore, stopped working for almost a day, but are now back. I'm guessing maybe it was still restoring or doing some background stuff.

I hope it stays fixed. Fingers crossed.

Might sound like an odd request, but could you upload a screenshot of how it’s meant to look please? My stickers bit is empty but I do have an open stickers option in there which I can tap on and it shows them. I’m assuming this is how it’s meant to be. Thanks.

Two images: what it should look like and the other is what it looked like for me (and those who are having issues). The stickers area remains blank no matter if you create new stickers. If you hold down the white area, it’ll give you the option to delete as if there’s a sticker there, but you can’t use it.

That’s great thanks! I can add stickers to mine (and see them once created), even though it started empty (guess it would) so I’m assuming mine works. Thanks again for the pics

Can anyone confirm a resolution to broken stickers on iOS 18.0.1 and iPhone 16? I do not want to do a nuclear option of wiping the phone and starting again!

That is the solution until Apple fixes it, which I don’t see coming for now.

I took my updated (stickers broken) phone and made an encrypted backup on a PC, erased all content and settings, set up as new confirming stickers working, restored from the backup at step one and they work.

On my iPhone 16 Pro running iOS 18.2, my stickers have been broken on every beta for as long as I could remember. I didn’t want to set up every setting again on my phone and watch, so I tried something that fixed the problem and brought back the stickers.

First, I went to Settings > Privacy > Files & Folders and unchecked every app. I have no idea if this contributed, but it's worth mentioning.

Next, I navigated to Settings > iCloud > Backup and manually backed up the phone multiple times. I force restarted the phone using the Volume Up/Volume Down method, then did another iCloud backup.

Following this, I logged into developer.apple.com, downloaded the iOS 18.2 IPSW, and restored the iPhone using my Mac. Be sure to restore so that all data is wiped.

Once the iPhone rebooted, I completed the setup, signed in to iCloud, and chose to restore from iCloud backup. Once everything was back to normal, the stickers were fixed and working perfectly with no data loss. I hard restarted the device using the volume method a few times.

Finally, I disabled and deleted all backups under Settings > iCloud, then re-enabled it and manually created a fresh backup. It's been 24 hours, and the stickers are still functioning perfectly.

I hope this helps someone!

Still not fixed with 18.2 public beta on my iPhone 16 Pro. Works fine on my iPad Pro; all my stickers show up there just fine. Guess this is super low priority for the iOS team.

This has been broken for me on my 16 Pro Max and iPad Pro since iOS18, then 18.1, and now 18.2 beta 2.

However, finally, I just updated to 18.2 beta 3 and it is working as expected on both. Old stickers returned and new stickers can be made.

Stickers working fine on my iPad Pro M1 but somehow “broken” on my new IPhone 16 PM (switching from a 14 PM). They are usable but not visible in the “recents” tab 🤔

oooh sounds promising then that they have fixed it... thank you... I will wait for the 18.2 release in anticipation

I tried posting this earlier but don’t seen the post…

Anyhow, I caved in and used the nuclear option: erasing the phone and setting up as as new, testing stickers, erasing again, then restoring from an iCloud backup,. Honestly, it was not as bad as I had feared. Importantly, don’t do what I did initially which wasted a lot of time: making a local backup encrypted on my Mac, restoring to factory settings as opposed to setting up as new, and restoring from the local backup. That takes a long time and doesn’t work.

Just updated to 18.2 b4 and my stickers are fixed! Well, not sure if the actual update fixed it, or me creating a "genmoji" (which added it to stickers) fixed it.

Stickers still broken on my iPhone 16. Anyone had luck with this issue. I updated to latest iOS 18.1.1 still not working.

Ugh I just spent a good 20 min trying to figure out what was wrong with stickers.

18.1.1 on 16 Pro.

Looking forward to 18.2 and this being fixed!

Yeah. They don't work on my iPhone 16+ or my M2 MBA. Basically, the stickers are broken on all of my devices that run Apple Intelligence. Ironically, they work just fine on my iPad 10.

Interesting.

I see my old stickers on my M3 MBP running 15.1.1 but they don't show on my 16Pro.
