Still loving my Black CD MacBook after about 9 months. Although I'm finally wanting a bit more power so might be looking at upgrading to a MBP in the coming months.

Or a MacPro if it can somehow fit my budget :D

Total ditto (but with MBP). Give me an MBP with 4GB of RAM (capability - I would only buy 1GB-2GB) and I would be happy for 3 years.

I just sold my iMac, so it does look like I will be getting a MBP after all! I can't wait. Been my dream machine for a few years now (the design).

I got one of the last CD MacBook's and I love it still. I'm not fussed about all these new processors, at the end of the day, my MacBook does what I need it to do, and until my requirements of a laptop change, it always will.

You know, I didn't like the black macbooks that much. Sure they looked nice, but when I bought my macbook, the black ones were 1499, I think. Anyways, I bought a 2Ghz white model, Super Drive, 80 gig hard drive, and a gig of ram for 1499. That was actually a better computer for the same price. Black is cool, but this was the smarter buy.

That and it wouldn't be cool if my friend and I had the same color laptops. You have to have different colored MacSabers when you fight! Duh!

Ya know i agree with ya on that. Mac people make a big deal out of having black laptops and ipods. Truth be told, PC & home theatre enthusiasts have had black equipment for a LONG time. Guys have had black laptops since the mid 90s. So to me, the white products were a nice change.

I love my original black core duo, the performance difference for me would not lie in the processor but in the superdrive dl on the new macbooks, but mine does not run too hot so i have been ery pleased with the performance

Mine gets pretty hot, but that's why i don't use it for a nut warmer :p

I've been eyeing that notebook stand they sell at the apple store
