wait list turn around

I put my name on the 5th ave wait list on wednesday, 5th may in the afternoon. still waiting for ipad 3g 32gb.
anyone had better turn around time?

Put my name on the list may 5/5 got an email today about 32gb 3g available in SOHO store. I picked one up last week from tekserve so have no need.

If I can transfer my reservation, it's yours..

Hi
m from India..A friend of mind right now is in new york city...I really want an ipad 3g 64 gb model..if i tell him exactly where i can find one he is gonna go and buy one for me..
I would be very grateful if anybody can lemme know if any ipad 3g 64 gb models are available anywhere in nyc at any apple store or best buy store...
Would be really grateful...thnx

How's the stock situation in NYC? Can one walk over (to 5th avenue, for instance) and pick up a 16 GB Wifi?

The 5th ave store is your best bet as it frequently gets shipments and when they do get shipments, they are plentiful. It's still tough though because of waitlists and not to mention, all the tourists that keep trying to buy from there.

the other apple stores are struggling to fulfill waitlists - my friend who put a reservation down for a 3G on 5/2 at the meatpacking store is still waiting for his to come in.

Argh. Looks like I'll have to buy one from e-Bay (shipped to Europe) and pay 50% more for it.
A friend is suppose to buy one in New York... but I don't think he is willing to waste too much time to find one.

Maybe it was for the better.
I've totally changed my mind now... I'm going to buy some Hi-Fi equipment instead (Cambridge D/A converter).
No iPad for me now... maybe next serious update in 2011 or something.

why not just order it offline?
Why go through the hassle of running around NYC when you'll just get it in a week or so...

Just be patient, I've had mine since launch day and it's great but not that great to stress about IMHO.

It's quickly becoming one of those things where since you CANT have it because of inventory constraints people are wanting it more. I don't think Apple would do this on purpose, I bet they're trying as hard as they can so some folks don't do what was mentioned above and use that disposable income on something else.

This is one of the few times in my life where I will say living in KY has been a benefit...too many rednecks versus too few tech geeks...the store at our mall has TONS available.

Yay for someone else that likes apple as much as me that lives in Kentucky!
Good to know oxmoor has plenty so when I get the money to purchase my iPad I'll be able to get onewithout hassle.

Willing to pay $20 for a spare 32/64GB 3G model reservation at either the SoHo or 5th Ave stores. Must be eligible for stock by Thursday evening. Cheers.

List of retailers

Hello all: Been searching all over. Besides tekserve and bestbuy, there are others carrying iPads although as of this morning, still all sold out. Macmall said that they are expecting a shipment on Thursday. We shall see.

Here is the Apple list of internet/catalog resellers. Note that CDW requires a business to purchase. Happy hunting.

I just called Tekserve. They have WiFi in stock but 3G are only going to fill backorders.

Anyone spotted any WiFi models? Trying to get my girlfriend to get one for me within these few days while she's there.

You're not going to get one retail from an Apple store... they all have wait lists.

If you have to buy in person, check out Best Buy around 1pm or so. They tend to get their deliveries around noon. Don't bother calling... show up in person and be sure to ask them to check in the back for iPads (most of them will insist they don't have any in stock).

I live in NYC and had to go to NJ to get my iPad. All best buys and apple stores were sold out 2 weeks ago when I got it.
