This is getting insane ! the iPhone as always gets all the hype and attention ahead of any Apple Products. Another leak of the Chassis of iPhone with the dummy phone etc..Why still no leaks for the iPad Pro of 2018. This is is getting irritating ! Absolute no leaks for the iPad Pro 2018 ?

Considering that the iPhone is an annual released item and it’s almost the September Keynote, naturally it has more of a ‘hype’. In Addition, the iPhone also has way more hardware leaks then the iPad does, which opens up for more discussion.

Another leak of the Chassis of iPhone with the dummy phone etc.

The dummy iPhone you’re referring to between the 6.1/6.5 iPhone X, is _not_ a leak, that’s a mock up model that was created by somebody for the sake of aesthetics and hands-on. There’s nothing special about a ‘dummy’ iPhone.

Why still no leaks for the iPad Pro of 2018. This is is getting irritating ! Absolute no leaks for the iPad Pro 2018 ?

You keep referring to the “iPad Pro 2018”, why are you under the assumption that an iPad Pro is coming in 2018? There is no guarantee of that. It could very well be 2019.

Also, seems your thread already is in discussion in a similar thread:

Had you had your YouTube channel and you had vehemently said no to all these, Maybe People would have believed you. But since you dont !! Nah ! You are one in Million People who feels it may also not come this year in 2018 but Nah !! Not happening !! It is coming in 2018 !!

What exactly so they know that he doesn’t? Pretty sure @Relentless Power called the no iPad at WWDC news while I went all in the other way. Bit of a ruse response to a long time forum member who’s helpful in many threads.

Because there are never leaks like with iPhones

We have seen a few leaks of the iPad Pro. Don’t expect much more than that. The pros could come in September or in November who knows.

Better they take their time and get it right. There’s a lot of new products coming out and the last thing we need is first generation screen or other issues.

The IPP seems to have come into its own as a laptop replacement* with the last generation and this new one will be a pretty big step forward. Do it well, do it right, have some superb accessories (like an effing proper SMART keyboard) at launch and nobody is going to die if it comes out even in March 2019. Watch a sunset. :)

* for SOME people. Let’s not have that old debate again. If it doesn’t work for you, there’s MacBooks, iMacs and other options to consider. For some , including me, I’m going to try and transition all my mobile needs to an IPP backed uk by a desktop at home for when I need to edit or use multiple monitors.

Um...i wouldn’t be too sure about that dude. First of all, this is a rumor site. We can only speculate. Second, as you yourself pointed out, there have been no real physical leaks of new ipad pro parts yet. So what does that tell you? To me, it could mean you are wrong and the ipad pros may not come until 2019. Hey, it’s possible. It’s also possible they will be announced in September with the iphones. Or perhaps later this year at a separate event in October or November. We are all just guessing here, so just relax. Nobody knows. I say hope for the best, but prepare for the worst scenario. That way you won’t work yourself up into a frenzy. They are coming, we just don’t know when.

I too would like some chassis leaks or official schematic leaks or something. (And no, I don't count that bogus CAD drawing as an official, nor do I take anything Ming Chi Kuo says seriously.) But iPad leaks have never been as abundant as iPhone leaks. Even when the very first iPads were coming out and people were dying to know what this thing was going to be, I don't remember seeing any significant part leaks or clues about it. iPads just don't sell or get manufactured in the volume that iPhones do, so it's just not going to be as likely that you'll get leaks.

This year I'm in a unique position--I really love my 10.5" iPad Pro, especially after I ditched the Apple Smart Keyboard and outfitted it with a Zagg Rugged Messenger keyboard case. This is my dream iPad setup. I do want to upgrade to whatever the new iPad Pros end up being, but I'm in no rush. It would be nice to have some clues on release date/features/specs so that I could get this iPad on the market early and get as much resale value as possible, but at the same time, I don't want to be without it based on speculation, especially if I end up wishing I'd kept it in the long run.

So this year, I'm just going to upgrade only after I have official information from Apple or a legit enough looking leak. That might mean I take a hit on resale value on my 10.5" Pro, or it might mean I just keep it for another generation. Either situation speaks to just how great the 10.5" iPad Pro actually is.

Production lines for iPad are far smaller than iPhone. There are fewer people to approach and leak info.

There are at least three known ODMs designing and manufacturing iPhone: Foxconn, Pegatron, and Wistron.

For the iPad, you're looking smaller ODMs such as Quanta and Compal.

It still really Pisses me this, Apple long wait to get OLED Panels for the iPad what the F is stopping them ? I fail to understand too late too little is going to be the case with Apple whenever they come with an OLED Display ! Their Display supplying partner Samsung has got the ball rolling for its own flagship tablets ! But our Man still does not want to take a shot ! How Pathetic !!

Do i want an OLED screen on the ipad pro? Hell yeah. But keep in mind, the OLED screens are still hard to mass produce on larger tablets. They also suck up much more battery juice than LEDs. I am sure Apple will release an OLED ipad pro...but not until they are ready. Would you want an OLED ipad pro with half the batt life? I wouldn’t. I also wouldn’t give up all the other benefits of what makes Apple ipads so great like seamless software/hardware integration. If you wanna jump ship and go over to Samsung for an OLED tablet go for it. If not, i am not sure what jumping up and down and ripping your hair out will do besides giving you a heart attack. Chill out dude. Who knows, maybe the upcoming ipad pros will get an OLED screen. Maybe not. Regardless, i will buy one of them over a samsung tablet any day!

"If you look at an OLED display off-angle, you might notice slight shifts in color and hue. This is a characteristic of OLED and is normal behavior. With extended long-term use, OLED displays can also show slight visual changes."

What's with the fascination with OLED? It's not a cure-all that resolves all LCD problems. Have you considered the trade offs?

Because pure black with deep contrast outweighs those minor cons? A great OLED display is better than a great LCD when it comes to picture quality.

Yet, virtually every professional monitor for graphic design and business on the market is LCD. Everyone from Eizo, NEC, Dell, to even Samsung sells professional displays. They are all LCD.

Clearly, these guys don't agree with you.

I’ve also heard of ghosting issues on OLED screens. Maybe not a big deal on a small phone, but could be annoying on an ipad. Between that and the potential battery drain of OLED screens, i am totally fine to wait until Apple thinks they are ready to release an OLED ipad pro....whenever that may be.

I'm kind of in the same camp. I loved going from non-retina to retina and seeing those sharp images and letters that almost looked like printed paper on my iPhone/iPad screen. I loved going from 2 speakers on one end of the iPad to 4 speakers one on each corner of the iPad. I loved going from a non-laminated to a laminated screen. I was blown away the first time I saw the iPad Pro's ProMotion screen.

What did NOT seem like an earth shattering upgrade was going from my iPhone 7 Plus LCD screen to my iPhone X OLED screen. I just honestly don't see a difference. Yeah, I know, the black colors are pure black because OLED doesn't need to light up every pixel all the time, but I just don't see any real world difference in my day to day usage.

Keep in mind that for the iPad Pro to go OLED, the displays have to get down in price AND they have to be able to support ProMotion just as effectively as an LCD does. I'm not sure OLED is ready in either of those categories, and I really don't care if it takes another generation after this one for the iPad to switch to OLED.

Sure Promotion display is one factor to consider before Apple puts its OLED panel on the iPad Pro. But the Display on the iPhone X it is one of the finest and beautiful display that I have ever seen on any device only the One Plus Six and Samsung S9 has a display which comes close to it, still I would rate them after Display of the iPhone X the Display on the iPhone X is just stunning !!

Yes no leaks or sugesstion of component parts about the next gen Ipad but you could say the same about the next watch, wireless AirPod case, AirPower or MacBook Air which are all rumored to be coming this fall. The phones always get the attention.

Samsung and LG have dumped a lot of dollars in marketing OLED over many years.

As a result, many consumers think current OLED technology is superior in every way compared to LCD without thinking there may be tradeoffs like viewing angles.

Realistically, micro LED for the iPad, iPhone and Apple Watch is likely the future. OLED has its benefits, but I don’t know that Apple will probably line the necessary suppliers necessary to manufacture multiple iPads with an OLED display.

OLED for the iPad is not a selling point for me, what is, is reduced bezels, Face ID, Promotion display, etc. Those are all the little experiences that make up for the more important things for me.

Those monitors are already prohibitively expensive, they'd be even more so if they were OLED. Sony is one of the few in the OLED monitor game, this is my go to production monitor: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1015240-REG/sony_pvma170_17_professional_oled.html $4K for a 17".

They're avoiding it for cost reasons, not image quality reasons. This has been true of OLED from the beginning. No need to invent a narrative.

LOL. It has nothing to do with cost. Production monitors run easily into the $20-30k range.

Below is an LCD-based 17" monitor that costs $4k. In fact, the viewing angles and outdoor performance beat the Sony. The only reason Sony is using OLED is because they sold their LCD assets nearly a decade ago to bet on OLED.

Since when do LCDs have better viewing angles? That goes against everything I know from the tv industry. Color shifts when moving off angle? Also an lcd problem.

Brightness on the other hand is an issue for OLED.

And other issues might be burn in problems and durability. Is there any progress regarding this?
