Since when do LCDs have better viewing angles? That goes against everything I know from the tv industry. Color shifts when moving off angle? Also an lcd problem.

Brightness on the other hand is an issue for OLED.

LCDs have had better viewing angles since day one. I’m not sure what you know about the technology.

When viewing at angles, OLED loses due to large shifts in color vs. LTPS LCD. However, it wins as it maintains brightness better at angles. Most professional users are looking for color accuracy more than brightness.

Take a look at the measurements for iPhone 7 vs. iPhone X on DisplayMate.

For me the OLED Display the Colours Just Pop out that too only on Apple Display, the Display of the iPhone X is simply stunning, Jaw Dropping ! A beauty to behold !! When I look at other Displays like One Plus and etc...etc though being OLED they do not appear that vivid and detailed and rich as an iPhone X, Wonder what Magic Apple does everytime with their Displays it is just Out of The World Everytime !

I couldn’t understand why you were so bent out of shape in the first post and I cant understand why you’re so elated no.

Before we knew there was a 11” and 12.9 IPP scheduled to be released in September. Front page today says the exact same thing. What’s new?

Fair enough. Then you should still be pissed off. ‍♂️ Because digitimes has added ZERO to what we knew before.

Relax. Speculate here with us but it isn’t life and death man. You have a machine to use now right? Go catch a sunset or have a drink or watch a movie. Life’s too short to get so upset about a gadget!

I trust Digitimes "leaks" even less than Ming Chi Kuo. Still not counting my chickens before they hatch on this one. If there are no chassis leaks out of China, then I'm not assuming anything regarding a for sure September iPad launch.

True that. Ming has a decent track record though. Digitimes not so much. It makes sense , a September release for back to school. Not like they have any competition in the tablet space. The surface line is a different user.

But with such a full 2018 there IS a small chance the IPP gets pushed to October November or March.

What I like about Digitimes, is that they usually report more specifics and specifications about the product, which they have been right in the past, but their track record for predicting the actual release date for a product has been wrong many times. I think many see Digitimes as not accurate, but they are in certain aspects and wrong in many others.

If the iPad does happen in the fall, I think it will be separate from the iPhone keynote, mainly because I think the new Series 4 and three new iPhones, and possible new AirPods will all consume The majority of the demo.

Can never accuse Apple of not being greedy enough right? Back to school ends In September (?) so people may buy the old IPP. Release the new ones in November for the holiday season.

It probably makes more sense to release the low cost laptop in September for back to school anyway. Current lines are rubbish. College kids are savvier than others and may migrate away from Apple if there isn’t a decent offering in time for uni.

Migrate away from Apple? Anything from 2017 is still a 'decent offering' just not the latest greatest. College kids will use what works and everything current in the Apple line can handle pretty much anything college can throw at them.

This is getting insane ! the iPhone as always gets all the hype and attention ahead of any Apple Products. Another leak of the Chassis of iPhone with the dummy phone etc..Why still no leaks for the iPad Pro of 2018. This is is getting irritating ! Absolute no leaks for the iPad Pro 2018 ?

more people buy iPhones than iPads so it makes sense that the blogs etc would fap on details about the iPhone because it gets more page hits

That’s rather obvious, the iPad is not a necessity compared to what the iPhone is being a communication device, especially being the iPhone is almost 65% of Apples generated revenue.

I don’t know about the mobile industry - maybe small-size lcds use different technology than TVs and don’t have the same limitations. On TVs OLEDs definitely have better viewing angles than LCDs. There’s a reason Sony is making such a big deal about its new Master Series Z9F’s viewing angles and why they compare it in demos to other LCDs, not the OLEDs

Below is a true comparison between OLED and LCD. Both are 17-inch $4,000 professional monitors for on-set editing and live production. The Sony OLED gets stomped in viewing angles and outdoor performance.

If you compare top-end OLED with top-end LCD, it's clear who wins. Sony is using OLED is because they sold their LCD assets nearly a decade ago to bet on OLED.
