Yes. It’s all on those evil, money grubbing Americans! Except Apple is an American company. Not so long ago US consumers got first crack at ordering new products while the rest of the world had to wait weeks or months just to order a new iPhone. Price points are set in US Dollars and the rest of the world must adjust accordingly. With the Russians and Saudis pumping oil into negative numbers it takes more CAD to make up for the USDs much stronger position. It’s simple economics.

Actually you might be right. I personally love the plus size phones and if memory serves me right mint condition 8+ can be had on swappa for 350 ish. I would grab one of those any day over this new little 400 dollar iPhone. Xr probably a little over 400. Used doesn’t scare me in the least.

$399 US for a new Smartphone is totally and absolutely in "budget" territory.

Interesting that you apparently seem to be the only one here disputing that when everyone else seems to be "yeah...no".

"Budget" has never been synonymous to "cheap" and that's were you seem to be going with this.
