Here I am sitting happy with 32GB, with a potential 64GB being more than enough. iCloud optimizing my storage keeps me with plenty of room.

256 for me. I‘m pretty good about maintaining my storage capacity. I’m currently only using about 64 GB of space on my iPhone 11 Pro 256, but I do usually load it up with music, videos, and photo’s when traveling so having the extra storage space is nice for peace of mind.

My iPhone X is 256 GB. Since then, I finally transitioned my photo library to iCloud (upgraded to the 2TB plan). I also moved my messages to iCloud also. I'm a person who had their full camera roll on their iPhone dating back to my iPhone 3G in 2008 and the same with my texts. Both of those had blown up exponentially (I think messages was around 16GB and my Photos was over 100GB).

I'm going to stay with 256GB because I am using iCloud a lot for messages, photos, and Drive and I do like that not as much is offloaded often. I don't think 512GB is worth it as none of my devices currently (iPhone, iPad Pro, MacBook Pro) have more than 256GB built in.

That's like me, the base line always get full right away... I got the 256gb on my Xs Maxx and still have 90 gb left (mainly pictures)... but I don't like to delete pictures or anything like that, so my next phone would be 256gb. I think it's more than enough usage for me. 512gb would be too much, and 64/128gb would be tooo little. If they had 128gb as first tier, 512gb as second tier and 1tb as the third tier... then I would get the 512gb.

I do need to start utilize iCloud tho and move the pictures there...

I will get a 256 GB just because I have 256 now, but I downgraded my wife's 256 to a 128 with this order when I saw she had 35 GB used on her iPhone X. iCloud services offload so much content, the local storage really isn't that important. Just need enough. We don't and won't need to continuously increase. We're not going to be using 2 TB iPhones 5 years from now. There won't be any reason.

I use iCloud but have it set to keep the images on my iPhone. I don’t want to have lower quality images in my phone. I just want iCloud to save my pictures in case my phone breaks or something and they are at least saved.

I have only 60gb free on my phone but now that iPhone raw will take up more space with videos and photos and I constantly add music to my
Phone... I think I may need the 512gb.

If the 512 was only $100 more, I'd get it but it's $200 more. Also, it seems an iPhone that size is an outlier as most are 256 or smaller. Am I storing too much stuff? I looked at it 'iPhone Storage' under Settings and I'm using up 200 GB and I don't take pictures or videos that often. After utilizing all of iPhone's recommendations . . . offload apps, deleting attachments, emptying out podcasts, deleting videos etc. I'm at 90 GB.

I don't plan on downloading games or videos, but I do plan on taking videos or photos with the 12 Pro. With the 256 GB version I figure I would have about 100 GB of free storage. Is that plenty?
what do you have on your phone that is 90GB? My phone is at about 65GB, and I have stored a lot of Apple TV videos, which I could just delete, I downloaded a lot of Apps I don't use, just cause I have the storage etc...
If I'd clean up and put everything else into iCloud, I can't see how I'd be using more than 40GB. 128GB will be absolutely safe!

After some cleaning up I'm at 65 GB. I offloaded apps that I don't use very often at all. I deleted all my podcasts and will just resubscribe and not download them. I never did any house cleaning and it just accumulated.

I have 64gb with 42 free. Cloud for the win.
And not even one online storage, Google Drive for work, iCloud, and Dropbox because redundancy.

I have had 256 on my last 2 iPhones. However, since then I got the 2tb iCloud plan and my 2 iPad pros are only 64gb and I have no issues with them. I will likely just get the base memory in my iPhone 12 pro max when I buy it, I am rarely if never without some sort of internet connection.

I was on the fence, had the 512gb 11PM, the whole dolby vision/pro raw thing had me thinking that sticking at 512gb was the call but I only just about got to 200GB on the 11PM so was leaning to 256gb.

In the end the 512GB blue was available to buy on Saturday and the 256GB was not so that decided it for me.

I was set on 128GB but dunno if should go to 256GB. Photos aren’t an issue as got iCloud for that but for videos i question if its enough but the real question is how much video will i really take to even use that space up.

On my 128GB iPad Pro I still have 98GB left so techinally 128GB should still be enough i would say...

Do all the photos save as raw? And videos all use Dolby?
