wow, did you even read the thread? he never said he was going to bring it in for repairs. nor did anyone mention anything the logic board being bad. as you can tell (he is posting) the computer works. he just wanted to know why it happened.

Actually in the original thread I did mention logic board, to which he replied:

I think it'll have to happen a lot more than once before I start diving straight toward the clitor...um...logic board.

That was in response to an earlier post that my logic board might be unhappy. Maybe it needs a Xanex!!

Anyway, I just ran Apple Hardware Test and all is okay. Props to simie for suggesting it. I didn't even know it existed!!

So now, all is right with the world...well except for the Bushco government, and the war, and gas prices...I think I might be having my own kernal panic!

Anyway, I've updated to 10.4.3, and nothing seems to be broken. We'll see how it goes in a production environment.

Oh no! I wouldn't have done that if I were you. Now your fans will probably just rev and rev for no reason at all. 10.4.3 has been nothing but trouble for PM users, me included.

Hang on a minute, stop panicking the poor guy, if its the New DUAL CORE PM then i was under the impression that 10.4.3 had a few tweaks to correspond with the New processors.

10.4.2 Possibly contributed to the small kernal panic he had previously.

Like others have mentioned.. do not panic, if the crashes become frequent, make a call to Apple or the Store you Purchased your new beast from.

Hyernal, did you buy AppleCare?

I was just thinking it would help you shrug off these worries a little easier. I just bought it for my (now 4 month old PB) and I don't stress out over every little noise, creak, bump, etc. like I used to.
