Still stuck with no tracking updates. It’s almost noon here. Don’t see much point in calling since there are so many different responses in this and other threads ranging from “exceeding the shipping quota” to “it’s a tracking bug” that I suspect any customer service rep only has a 50/50 shot at providing the correct answer.

My tracking finally updated to this - in the tracking details it says “a late flight caused a delay”

Same here...went to the store and got a reservation for a 2pm pick up today, I'm not gonna wait until Saturday. What's the point of staying up til midnight to preorder if you can't have it launch day? There were a lot of people in line upset about delays. They were literally unloading a UPS truck at 11am while people are queuing up waiting.

That's what its come to now. Apple wants us to believe it's this BIG event only to deliver a whimper.

Cool thread! I was fortunate in that my iPhone XS Max and Apple Watch 4 was waiting on me at 9 AM when the UPS CC opened. Couple of counter people were a bit flabbergasted as they had a lot of them setup for pick-up, but also the late arrival caused some to start calling to see if they could just pick them up rather than wait till Sat as get arrived too late to make the trucks for delivery.
 
Finally have an update - so in addition to missing the plane in China now it's in Alaska and has missed the plane to Louisville, so I went from a Friday delivery which never showed up to a Saturday delivery that never showed up to now a cancelled Monday delivery. I guess we know why UPS's colors are brown.

Personally I always use FedEX, everyone I work with uses FedEX, no one who I know trusts UPS except the people who actually work for UPS. I just wish that when I ordered a product online I could choose the delivery service myself and if it cost more than what was offered just pay the difference.

UPS was a major customer with our company.
We had to get a contract to their corporate headquarters next AM
Secretary dropped the ball and left It With our warehouse manager After 7pm.
All UPS pickups were done for the night.
He shipped it to UPS by FedEx overnight.
I’m sure FedEx would have taken Pictures and Video Of the delivery if cell phones were around in 91 Like they are today.
Our warehouse manager almost got fired. :D

Quite a few of us have been stuck in ZZ since the 21st.

I ordered 2 phones, same type, Gold and Space Grey on pre-order day (6am PDT). The gold one spent 2 days in ZZ and got to my house today. The Space Grey still shows the above even though it was ordered first.

Did you get a update on your status for the phone that you did receive or did it just show up?

No excuse either because it hit Louisville at 1 in the morning and the flight from there to here wasn’t scheduled until 4 in the morning. Seriously, how can they repeatedly fail to move a package along a conveyor belt from one spot to another?
