What OS version?Same here (Macbook Pro 13-inch, Intel i5, 2020).
Very frustrating. Joining the thread to follow any suggestions for a fix.
And is firmware of the display up to date?

Hmm. Interesting. Sounds like a weird Intel-only bug then. I have two Studio Displays on my M1 Pro and have never had that issue.macOS 13.0.1 (22A400)
Display Firmware Version: Version 15.5 (Build 19F80)
Guess you are right and its an Intel-only bug. Switched from MBP 13" 2018 intel to MBP 14" M1 Pro and never had the issue again...Hmm. Interesting. Sounds like a weird Intel-only bug then. I have two Studio Displays on my M1 Pro and have never had that issue.
Hopefully 13.1 solves it.
I tried that too, also no dice. I'm on Ventura 13.2.1.Clicking (hold option) "Detect Displays" in the Displays Preferences Pane does not do anything.
Seems like an OS issue. (Up to date Monterey here)
Out of curiosity: Does rotating the display in System Preferences > Displays (90º then back, for example) fix the resolution?
No.
But switching to Apple Silicon does "fix" it. Replaced the 2020 Mini with a 2023 and no issues at all with ASD, including Mac sleep/wake.
Cool, thanks for this tip. It worked for me instead of plugging the cable in and out.Same thing happens on my (Macbook Pro 13-inch, Intel i5, 2020). It's an intermittent thing. My typical resolution is to go to Settings->Displays Preset and change from Apple Display to other mode then back. That resets the low res issue.
