Holy crap, I want that app.

Actually, I'd just be happy for some of the existing useless toys (a couple of games, and the original demo that keeps a window oriented properly relative to the ground regardless of how you rotate the computer) to work on my MPB. It uses a different method of communicating with the sensors, so not surprisingly none of the older PowerBook apps work on it. And here I've finally got one to play with at home!

Only MBP compatible toy I've found so far is a little level for Dashboard, but oddly it's "level" is a little off to the left, so even that doesn't quite work properly.

I would agree, is there even a SMS in the display area what the guy is hitting?
Doesn't matter--the SMS is VERY sensitive, and the display is attached to the computer as a whole, so if the app is twitchy enough, it can register almost any motion, certainly from as much of a tap as that guy is giving.

I'm not saying that it's not fake, but it could very easily be real if programmed properly.

Good to know, thanks!

Mine too (on my powerbook). I thought it was just something with mine, but maybe not...

Slightly off-topic, but does anyone know why none of the SMS demonstration apps floating about register no input from the SMS on the MBPs? I was looking forward to playing around (for, oh, maybe 2 minutes) with that SMS enabled game, but no dice.

huh i will say it could be real and sms could possibly sense all motion so meaning the screen would be the most convenient place to tap it...

but yah....

That's just Desktop Manager. It's a great app, but it doesn't work like that video shows.

they register input differently from the PB's, kinda like the temp sensor.

thats quite cool actually, theres other programs like games and alarms but that looks like fun :p now for me to rig it up for the ibook

It's desktop manager with a hack to let you switch desktops using SMS.

Looks great, however, the comments to that post are less-than-flattering with most of the people going "how the hell do i get it to work?!"/"you think you're so cool not explaining it to us in layman terms.."...maybe scratch that off to user ignorance...how hard is it to cut and paste stuff, or to use gcc...

I'd love to get my hands on a MBP and try that out, except my favorite virtual desktop app is Virtue and not Desktop Manager. :(
