I've purchased several from Amazon (the black Torras and some generic stuff) for my iPhone 16 Pro, but they're all slick and shiny, catching any oil whatsoever. I'd like a textured or matte one

Any suggestions?

PS - it's not for drop protection at all, so as thin as it gets works just fine. Might consider a skin by dbrand instead, not sure yet.. prefer dark blue in color

I’m curious about their pro max Military-Grade Protective Cases. How is the grip? I’m looking for something that doesn’t easily slide out of a hand of pocket. Thanks!

By Torras?

This is the one i had on my IP12 pro and loved it, decided to try the super slim one from Torras and I hated it and returned it for the military grade case. It has a better grip, buttons press easier for some reason and overall I think it looks better.

Purluct is a good cheap Amazon option and has very good edge protection. Small amount of drop protection.

Totallee are good but a bit overprices. They are about as thin as you could possibly fine, but they will crack on drops and don't offer really any drop protection.

I have a Pitaka, and they are super light and very thin with better drop protection than the totallee; however, they have zero edge protection so your screen or screen protection will touch/hit if you place phone face down. The cut outs along the edge leave the case open in spots. Its my favorite case in hand though, and has a great look and texture in the hands. The phone is not going to survive a bad drop though.

Sorry, I meant the Pitaka military. A long time ago I used to use Soeck cases and they were slippery enough to slide out of my shirt pocket if I bent over. Went to basic Apple silicone after that for its grip. Was hoping this Pitaka wasn’t slippery.

Pitaka are great but be wary of the lack in edge protection to the screen.

Spigen's Liquid Air has taken up residence on my 16PM, and it's a breath of fresh air - super slim and lightweight, unlike the bulky Caudabe Synthesis. No MagSafe in sight, but that's probably what keeps it so svelte. Here's to hoping its drop protection claims aren't just a fairy tale.

Okay, I'm happy I'm not the only one who has been on a super slim case hunt lol

I have probably ordered and returned 20+ cases and I still haven't found what I'm looking for.

I've ordered Totallee, Peel, Pitaka, Spigen, Torras, knockoffs from Temu/AliExpress, etc. None of them worked for me. They either have a matte satin finish that catches all oils/fingerprints just by looking at them, or is slippery. I need something that is grippy with a textured "sandy" finish if that makes sense.

I'll add some links below for cases I have that align closer to what I've been looking for.

1- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DD7LBB9D?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

I had this case for the 15 Pro Max. This is the kind of case I like. It's extremely thin, grippy with a sandy texture. Only thing is that it doesn't have MagSafe. If this is not an issue for you, I think you'll really like this one. I wireless charge at night, so I need something with MagSafe. I tried using my charger but because of the material of the case, the magnetic adherence is weak.

2- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DCNJSFY5?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

I've had this case in the past. They have MagSafe variants, but a bit thicker than I'd like. This is a pretty good case and is textured. I just dont remember if the MagSafe works through the case. Have one coming in today and will test it out. But this is a good option.

3- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D7BHGFVB?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

A bit thicker than what I'm looking for, but it feels great in the hand, is very light, and has MagSafe. It has a matte rubbery feeling.

4- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D9YHDD45?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

So far, this has been my favorite. Ive been using this case since I got my 16PM. I keep coming back to this one after returning all the cases I didnt like. It has a satin matte finish that doesn't attracted oils/fingerprints with some grip, extremely thin, and my MagSafe charger works through the case. I guess it's due to the material and how thin it is. Its not AS grippy as id like, but its been the closest to what ive been looking for.

Let me know how your search goes!

Which color of the Totallee did you get? Unless they've changed it, the Frosted Clear magsafe version is a matte material with a texture.

For me, the Pitika cases show unacceptable amount of fingerprints. I’m constantly cleaning mine. Never again.

Benks is a winner. As slim as Pitaka but offer all around protection. The four corners at the front are ever so slightly raised.

Also it’s cheaper and doesn’t show fingerprints as much.
