I bought my iPad 16gb on an impulse buy on Friday in my local Bristol Apple store. I am wishing I had the 32gb one now though. Can I bring mine back to swap it?
Thanks

10% so £43.
You have 28 day no quibble return period by law in the UK.
No you don't. If there is nothing wrong with the product you have no legal right to a refund whatsoever.

...have you used it yet, is it opened?
You can, but you will have to pay a restocking fee if you have used it.![]()
i'm sorry to say that you are wrong. In the UK you can return any item to Apple within 14 days, whether you have used it or not and simply ask for a refund. You will not be charged a restocking fee, that only applies to the U.S.

This is the U.S. link.

note it clearly states 10% restocking only on US site and not UK.
Hope this helps.![]()
Thanks for that.

If all else fails I have a mate selling his Wi-Fi 64Gb or £500 if you're interested.
Presumably that only applies to the online store so that it complies with the Distance Selling Regulations.
Nope retail stores, have never used online store, oh except for Snow Leopard upgrade.
As for distance selling, the law states 7 days Apple and other companies may have 14 days or longer but legally are only required to give 7 days from date of receipt of goods. This is known as a "cooling off period". See link below.

Looks like your link was from the online store.
The link goes to a government website for business, specifically for the distance selling regulations and cooling off period.![]()
You are right, it does come from the online store but is also applied to all retail sales. I know this from experience just can't find a link to it on the website as they only show info about online sales.![]()
That's very cool if it applies to all retail stores! Generous too!
I know, can be useful, don't know about other companies, but definitely Apple retail stores. Comes in handy, bought my MBP a week before the update last year, Called the store and just went in and exchanged it. They even refunded the difference, the new version was cheaper.![]()
