Hello again, recently launched a couple of more minor updates, the main new features are new simple themes that more follow the "iOS design" + the filters when browsing by Genre or Game mode were expanded to filter only games that offer demos.

## New simple themes
If you don't like the colorful themes, you can now choose much simpler "accent" themes that more follow the iOS system design.

This update also improves the onboarding experience, fixes couple of issues and makes it easier to change app icon.

You can now easily find all available demos when browsing by Game mode or Genre with the extended filter options.

UI improvements and tweaks for the game detail screen.

Better indicator that something is a video in the Gallery instead of the play button that covered the thumbnail

Version 3.7.0 adds more flexible "Favorites" organization with categories so you can more comprehensively track your games: Wishlist, Backlog, Playing, Finished and Abandoned.

Organize your Favorites​

You can now categorize saved games into Wishlist, Backlog, Playing, Finished & Abandoned to make it easier if you have many favorites. This is optional and if the new category doesn't have any game, it isn't displayed.

Favorite games directly from Search​

Quickly build your collection by adding games straight from the search results. No need to open the detail screen.

More game detail improvements​

The app now shows available DLCs for games on the detail page.

Redesigned News​

The improved News sections shows both articles and videos without the need to toggle between them. It also highlights Nintendo Directs and other events + current topics.

Improved Gallery​

When viewing your screenshots, the app shows the current game (if you named it) and number of total images + current position.

This update also includes bug fixes and other improvements.

Hello again, recently I have been releasing more smaller updates. Below are some highlights:

### Improved Onboarding to better introduce the app to new users
The "new" onboarding more emphasises available features and shows all the customization options - not just themes

### Better multiplayer info
For most games that support any kind of multiplayer, you should now see the exact number of supported players. So this way you can easily see if the split-screen supports four players on single Switch for example.

## Configurable tabs

Select tabs you want to see in SwitchBuddy with new Preferences option called "Active tabs". You can also make Favorites as tab for easier access.

### Increased free version limit for Favorites

The limit of games you can add to favorites has been doubled. You can now have up to 10 games. Enjoy.

## Weekly picks

Discover new games with the brand new "Weekly Picks" section available in the Games tab. Each week there will 10 new games for you to discover.

Favorites improvement
- added "jump menu" in case you have lots of games and want to navigate quicker
- Wishlist now has the same grid layout as the other sections + offers the list option

Hello,

recently I released version 4.0 which was mostly focused on improved design. New top carousel on the Games tab, better lists and similar.

And of course there is iOS 18 support with Dark & Tinted app icons, tintable widgets and Control Center integration for quick actions.

## Improved design

Big portion of the app was redesigned to better present information about games. Most notably is the info about supported game modes in a lists and better deals


## View info about companies

Want to discover other games by the same developer? Now you can! Look for the "Developer" and "Publisher" info on game detail

## Dark and Tinted icons

The most popular icons now offer dark and tinted variants. Perfect for any Home Screen setup.

## Widgets are tintable

SwitchBuddy widgets should also look great if you are using the tinted Home Screen.

## Control Center integration

Now you can start Transfer or Games search directly from your Control Center.

## Switch 2...

SwitchBuddy is slowly getting ready for the new console. This update contains new Switch 2 inspired theme and countdown widgets for the reveal in April.

I am planning to have new countdown widgets once we have release date of the console. And of course SwitchBuddy will then support Switch 2 as much as possible.

## Best Games redesign

Now you can easily see how many "Mighty" games there were each year. Each year also has dedicated list to show more information about the games.

## New video playback experience

Videos now play inline without the need to open browser window over. Also in the new Preferences you can change this to play videos in fullscreen or even the official YouTube app.

The inline and fullscreen options also support Picture-in-Picture, so you can leave the app and continue watching videos.

## On-demand translation for external texts (iOS 18+)

Game summary & storyline, company detail, review snippets can now be translated if your system translation supports your locale.
