Do the apps like TrueCaller and RoboKiller ALWAYS take over your voice mail? I've been reading that they use conditional call forwarding, which concerns me a little bit. I'd prefer to have something that has an advanced, always updating database that can simply silence the suspect spam call and let it go to my voice mail, rather than having the app redirect the call to their own servers... (as RoboKiller apparently does).
If you end up using RoboKiller and later decide not to use them make sure you follow the steps for disabling the service VERY carefully. Don't ask how I know this.

The disabling process involves stopping call forwarding at the network level. Several call blockers send the calls to their servers. In the uninstalling process there is a link with a number that is to be clicked on and a call is sent to stop the call forwarding to the app. The app guides you through this. I think that more and more call blockers are using their servers to process the calls.

This thread damn near 4 years old, lol
Yup. I was googling iPhone call blockers. When I go to the App Store most posts are about how bad this or that app is. Either they don’t work or cause problems with the phone. I have gone back to sending calls not in my contacts to voicemail.

They are but a couple I looked at allow that as an opt in.

Currently still using Hiya on S24U and 15PM. Does a decent job.

Thank. I’ll check it out. I had Hiya once. I can’t remember why I stopped.

Hiya is pretty good as well. It’s highly rated.
