Switching back to iPhone

Yeah, I don't work from home. So I normally watch on my phones. Just wanted to see if anyone else is crazy like me, because I usually switch back to my android phone the next day LOL
The craziest thing is that I had to watch the Samsung unpacked event on my AT&T connection on my little tiny iPhone SE because our home wifi went down that day! My iPad on T-Mobile had no connectivity worth speaking of and that is why I dumped TMobile on my iPad.
I do have the iPad and my iPhone 6S Plus ready. I don't really have any plans to get an iPhone 7 but I can't completely write them off without seeing the keynote. As long as I have my SE I will remain interested in the Apple Watch announcements.

Yeah no plans for getting it either, I'm happy with my Note 5 even though it does get laggy. If the rumors are true, I'm just somewhat disappointed that the iPhone 7 would be similar to the last iPhone 6s with specs upgrade.
You can watch Apple live stream events with free VLC app on Android or Windows desktop (Microsoft Edge browser supposedly works so you don't need this). I'll try to remember to repost the live stream URL the morning of event which you can usually find on reddit.

You can use any streaming device to watch it. I would assume one just uses their computer, laptop or their daily driver smartphone.
It's been a while since I've tried, but I thought it'd only work through Safari? (Mobile or desktop). I've tried with mobile Chrome before and it told me my browser wasn't supported. but that was maybe a year or 2 ago. All I do now is work from home on these big presentation days and watch via my Apple TV
To make sure Android device manufacturers keep up! Apple is a smartphone industry leader. They may have some great surprises. Always know what the competition has to offer.
I would guess that a lot of us like to keep up with technology and are mostly brand agnostic. We may have a current preference but if company Y comes out with a better product than company X there would be little resistance to switching. Without a doubt competition is needed for the industry to innovate and evolve.

Will continue to own both regardless of today's announcement. Indeed I'm far more likely to skip iPhone 7 than anything else as my 6S does what I want it to do.

LOL ok I understand completely, you should definitely explore some of the other options given by the posts in this thread though. I myself bought a non-iphone for the first time ever with the note 7... I am pretty sure I'll be keeping it until next year's iphone but I'll definitely be looking at the keynote just in case something piques my interest....

Just watched the keynote, the Jet Black looks sexy lol it's a I do like the improvement, just bummed the rumor is true with the headphone jack, the dual camera is nice , but the iPhone plus seems kinda big compared to my note 5 with the same screen size.
Note 7 as my main device. Even though I don't use the iPhone as my main device. I might still sell my 6S Plus and get the 7 Plus.
Here's my take on the iPhone 7 announcement ......
They can spit out the words "wide gamut" a thousand times. iPhone's display is not going to compare to the Note 7 display.
The dual camera zoom looks like a winner. Too bad it's only on the Plus version.
The Home button is also a great improvement.
I'm guessing they are going to use the same mAh for the battery, and just better efficiency with the A10.
Removal of headphone jack is not a big deal. I'm personally just scared of the "not supported" errors that many lighting accessories and lighting cords still encounter.
IP67 rating water resistant is a huge plus, but that's only about up to 3 feet(1 meter). I wonder why they couldn't pull of a IP68 rating.
Speaker improvement is another huge plus.
I feel like 32gb is the new 16gb. They should have started with 64gb.

+ optical image stabilization on iPhone 7
+ IP67
+ f/1.8 focal length
= SoC upgrade, wasted unless iOS 10 utilize it with split view multitasking, PiP, etc., to be seen if big-little architecture improves battery life
= there are different dual camera implementations such as Huawei that improves picture quality while the iPhone 7's 2x zooming is more gimmicky since zooming with feet is faster and simpler
= nothing about auto focus tracking performance which is more valuable than zooming
= dual speakers but unbalanced with one side firing and one front firing
- same old design with huge wasted bezel space
- expensive storage upgrades vs having uSD slot
- jet black doesn't come in storage sizes smaller than 128GB
-- removal of audio jack, this will impact people that listen to music via audio jack and charge their phone in car
Verdict is it closes the sizable gap on the Galaxy S7 by some. For a multi-platform user it's a worthwhile consideration coming from iPhone 6 series or older but not so much if you own the iPhone 6S Plus or even iPhone 6S. Unless you want the bigger display the iPhone 7 Plus isn't a compelling upgrade over the iPhone 7 so not worth the $120 premium. More importantly it seems like Apple is listening to the constructive criticisms.

I never watch them. Too boring. That and im not interested in a iPhone. I dont watch the Android keynotes either. I just wait to get the short of it later without all that boring stuff.
Honestly though, i dont pay attention to whats coming out much anymore. I didnt even know the GS7 was out. Just happened to break my GS6 and went to TMobile and they said it was out a couple weeks earlier. It was cheaper to get that one than fix the GS6....which i eventually did and gave it to the Wife.

There's a few things annoying me about my S7E, mainly to do with software bugs introduced in recent updates that are likely to never be fixed. I'm also not a fan of the image processing on the S7E in Auto mode and have resorted to shooting exclusively in raw to compensate.
With that said, I haven't owned an iPhone since the 3GS days although I do presently own an iPad Air 2 and am somewhat tempted to try out the 7 Plus. Maybe it is just the recent hype surrounding the phone but I'm legitimately debating selling the S7E and making the jump.
Am I crazy for contemplating a switch to the 7 Plus from a relatively new phone with arguably better hardware?
