Funny thing is the AT&T Unlimited Plus is now a grandfathered plan as well, since new plans were released today.

Do you know how this affects people with the prior Unlimited Plus plan with 5 members on it?

Anyone that has a hotspot better keep it on the UDP plan. The new ones do not allow it now. I got my iPad switched out for a nighthawk hotspot router today so I can have the unlimited for the house in case our internet goes down, but also I can use it on my laptops too.

Have till 3/6/18 to get the hotspot on your current UDP plan.

UPDATE
I got my first bill for AT&T Unlimited Plus after switching from a grandfathered unlimited plan. My previous total payment was $160.60. My new total payment is $166.40. So my bill increased $5.80 which is what I had expected. And now I have tethering and I saved $15 on Direct TV Now and free HBO, etc.

So seems pretty good.
