Do you like the screen?

I ask this because I again walked into a carrier store and played with a z10, 8x, and s3 and note 2 for more than an hour combined.

The AMOLED is still too warm. I adjusted it and I still don't like reading text on it.

Just to provide an alternate perspective for OP, I'm a big fan of the AMOLED screen. I compared my friend's GS3 to my Nexus 7 and it's amazing, it makes the N7's screen look like crap. I love how warm and vibrant the AMOLED is.

If you want the music files actually ON your device, I'd probably go the route of DoubleTwist.
If you're willing to stream all your music, I'd suggest using Google Music. It gives you the option to sync your iTunes library when you download and install the Google Music Manager.

Whenever you update your iTunes library, it will automatically update and upload your music to Google Music. The downside of this is you have to use the Play Music app to access and stream your music. I don't believe there is another music player on Android that is able to stream from Google Play Music.

If you go the route of just syncing the files to your phone with DoubleTwist, or copying them, I'd suggest purchasing the PowerAMP app. It's just about the best music player on Android.

You can easily save the songs from Google music on the device and use another music player.just go into Google music and long press the file and click add to queue and that will save it to device.or save all to device!

My biggest complaint is how dim it is on white backgrounds.

I'll be honest and say that I can't really comment on that since I've not used it extensively enough.

May be it is those store models. For some reason even though the note is supposed to have a better screen than GS3 (non-pentile), with the same website loaded and same brightness settings the max brightness just seems higher on S3 compared to Note 2. I couldn't believe how dull the note 2 screen looked.
