Sygic Navigator - Anyone tried searching for a POI?

seems to work fine here in Australia..can detect my nearest McDonald's no problemo

That was with the newer update. The new update broke address searching here in PA when dealing with townships. Cant locate ANYTHING that isnt right near you.

Worthless... Waiting for TomTom or Navigon.

I have no idea what the hysteria is over missing features in Sygic NAM. All of the current TBT applications have some type of disadvantage - just go take a look at gpspassion.com where the real pros review these packages (without endless speculation and juvenile bellyaching) - and you will see that Sygic, Navigon, ATT Navigator and Gokivo collectively have some serious drawbacks compared to PNDs. Navigon for one has big issues working in dense urban areas.

In my opinion, it will take some time for these applications to mature as the vendors port more advanced functions and learn how to utilize the iPhone features in a more user friendly manner. Until then, buyer beware and don't expect these applications to be equivalent to your Garmin (or other) PND.
